“Good buffet”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

We ate breakfast and dinner here for five days. There are a lot of choices and the food is generally good. Those who like delicious and gooey bakery items will be in seventh heaven. There are always a variety of items which come from the bakery next door. Desserts feature cherries and the Swedish pancakes with cherry filling are outstanding. The fish boil is definitely a must if only for the experience. Sometimes the food was cool, and service was spotty; it was hard to get coffee refills in the morning. Otherwise five stars.

“Fish Boil of Choice”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

If you plan to attend a fish boil while in Door County, Wisconsin, and have some in your group who are not a fan of eating fish, this is the one you should choose. While the fish boil is occurring, "Mr. Rowley" tells stories about the local history. After the fish boil is completed, the food is served buffet style in the restaurant. There is a full salad bar, lots of side salads, and desserts. The night we were there, the main dishes included beef tips, pork loin, and fried chicken in additional to the fish boil ingredients of potatoes, onions, and fish.

“Most items on the Sunday buffet were very good.”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

Prime rib was good, but barely warm. The meat/omlette station wasn't set up for 45 minutes after the start time of the buffet. Omlette was very good, lots of fresh veggies to add to it.
Yummy pecan and cinnamon rolls, had to wait over an hour for the swedish pancakes. That is what I wanted too. Nice cherry topping for them- and other toppings too. No ham, but hot turkey with gravy and dressing. Its very good for the price, but there was a lot of waiting for what we wanted. Beautiful view at window seat.

“Outstanding breakfast buffet”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Ahhh this is one super place to eat, or stay. The breakfast buffett is under $10, features outstanding quality choices. Fresh fruit, fresh pastries made on site, Eggs, cakes, bacon, sausage, taters and soooo much more. The view of Lake Michigan is stunningly beautiful from your table. Good service and solid quality food at a reasonable price.
Try it you will be pleased. Have eaten here for many many years everytime was very good.

“Great authentic Italian food, best breakfast ever!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

we knew they had the most entertaining fish boil, but the surprise this time was an Italian buffet that's new on Tuesday nights because they got a Chicago Italian chef now, and can he cook! My favorite was the lemon cream pasta, a pungent lemon zested cream based pasta unlike any pasta I ever had! The chicken parm was superb! The Italian sausages were really authentic with peppers and onions. Next morning we had the breakfast buffet with the best hash we've ever had. Big chunks of corned beef crisped up the way it should be. Don't let the fact that this is a buffet deter you. and the best news, the prices! Only $16.95 for dinner with lots of entrees and that included a dessert table and a huge soup and salad bar. Seriously, try it.
