“Fun fish boil”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

The best thing about this place was the "storyteller." As the fish boil was being prepared, we all sat on benches around the pot and the old storyteller in period dress told us the history of the area and the history of the fish boil. He was very entertaining. When you go inside, there is a buffet with soup, salads, and several main dishes as well as the fish. There were several homemade cherry desserts. Everything was good. Be careful with kids though, the fish has not been deboned.

“Breakfast buffet reasonable and delicious”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

This is our favorite breakfast buffet of all time. Our bike club rides about 20 miles to Grandma's and back. I know this increases my appetite but we love riding their and back. The food is excellent and reasonable. A full buffet for $10 in Door county is a true bargain.

“Chef's Choice- Not good!”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

I've heard good things about the Sunday brunch, but we're so active during the day, so we decided to check it out for dinner...BAD idea! The place was empty, our first clue. The hostess was curtious, but the food was obvious left overs: small bowls of this & that, few greasy pieces of chicken, a huge bowl of old iceberg lettuce, and gravies that looked like lard, NOT my idea of Chef's Choice. Again, I've heard good things about the brunch, but if you're going to be open for business, quality needs to be consistent.

“Breakfast Brunch”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

We were here for a family breakfast brunch and it was pretty good. The pastry was delicious with the Danish pastry and turnovers. However, I am a fan of biscuits and gravy and those didn't even look good, the gravy wasn't even "pourable". Maybe because there was a crowd, it took a while to fill up the food trays.
Overall, it's not a bad option if you are staying there.
