“A Beautiful Day on Green Bay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2012

Had a great sail with Captain Tom and of course his first mate, "Lucky". Beautiful views. We were the only customers when we went on a Friday morning. Wind was fair, but the motor got us where we could see the coastline! This is a great area, Ephraim. Lots of activities and restaurants. Don't forget to stop at Wilson's for an old fashioned ice cream soda!

“Nice little ride”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2012

Nice little ride with Captain Tom out to the island and back. Not much wind that day. Boat is tight for 6 adults. Bring some vino & cheese along for the ride (just don't forget your bottle opener and some little cups).

“We Love Captain Tom and Bella Cruises”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2011

We travel to Door County at least every summer, and never miss a chance to go out with Captain Tom on Bella Cruises. This is the classic sailboat with the red sails that docks at the pier right across from Wilson's Ice Cream Parlor in Ephraim. The boat is sturdy and stable, just right for all ages, and the sunset cruise is not to be missed. Captain Tom is a wealth of information, and you'll be more than welcome to take the helm if you ask! Enjoy a laid back tour of the bay, but don't forget to ask if you can shout into the caves of the bluff to hear the echo. Back on dry land, enjoy an ice cream at Wilson's across the street. Tip: unless you're comfortable with using primitive "on-board facilities," remember to use the restrooms before you go (across the street, behind the library building, up the stairs to the second floor from the back of the building.)

“Sailing- and an education!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 October 2009

My boyfriend and I did the 10:30 sailboat tour with Bella Sailing and really enjoyed our time on the boat. It's a smaller boat and we were with three other people, and the captain. He was a little intimidating but altogether a very nice guy who really knows a lot about sailing and his passion for it is obvious. You don't go very far off the shore but still get deep enough into the water to feel what it's like on the bigger waves. If you don't like to get wet- do NOT go on a windy day. Actually, you probably shouldn't be in a boat at all. Water is a part of it!!
I ended up having to steer the boat quite a bit as he worked the sails and that was a little nerve wrecking but really fun- it definitely made me want to learn how to sail even more than I already did. Don't be surprised if you get asked to help ;)
