“Quiet & Central”
Reviewed 22 October 2013

Not to be missed. Very clean and quiet. Living area, dining area, full kitchen, bath & bedroom w/jacuzzi for 2. Loved the fireplace which heated the room quickly in the chilly autumn evenings. Overview of golf course. Had private patio, with common grill nearby. Missed looking at the water -- one of my favorite things on vacations, but we had time to cook own meals and to swim in wonderful indoor pool. Elevators were a helpful plus. Would enjoy coming again.

Very clean and beautiful condos. Views from downstairs and up of the beautiful Door county scenery. Feel like you are the only ones around. A great perk was the garage. been coming up to the door for years and staying at resorts..never had our own garage before. Will definitely return.

My wife and I drove up to Door County for our five year anniversary. The resorts professional produced video did give us very expectations for Little Sweden. Boy were we wrong. The furniture and carpet may be stuck in the 90s but the suite was very comfortable and the fireplace was excellent.

We swam in the pool every night and can't wait to return one day with children and friends. To see a walkthrough of our villa check out this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3-Aq6vu8fE

Room Tip: Upgrade to a two bedroom villa, you will not regret it.

We came here over the Labor Day weekend. Rented a three level house. The place was nice and clean. We liked everything here besides very high levels of chlorine in the hot tub and the inside pool. The vapors were so intense that it was hard to breathe in that room. Considering the fact that high levels of chlorine can be toxic to your body, we didn't even swim in that pool, but our teenagers did. They complained later in the day on nausea and malaise. We usually like to walk outside in the eve when its cooler, but it was no lights, very dark and dready(another minus). In general, our experience was very positive.

Little Sweden offers lots of activities for a family, or you can just relax in your condo. We had a mini family reunion with our two grown daughters and their families. The large three bedroom two bath condo, in the Hedemora Hills section of the resort, seems to be just about right for us six adults and three kids. We got the building next to the unit we had previously rented and my daughter was less than delighted with the double beds in the downstairs bedroom rather than the two queens which we had had on prior stays. But just about everything else was the same. We were next door to the rec center, which was very convenient. The boys liked being able to grab a bicycle and ride around anytime. I enjoyed the indoor pool, which was great for water walking and easy to access, for an older retired gal like me. The enclosed porch is wonderful for cocktails or games and the deck and grill made entertaining friends easy. Nice sunset views each evening, too. The kitchen is well stocked with commonly used items, though with nonstick pans there should be some nonmetal utensils provided. Do wish we had come in earlier on Friday to spend more time at the wine and cheese gathering at the main building. Did experience some problems with internet and phone connectivity. We will definitely be back again.

Room Tip: I would ask in the future about bed sizes as both of our sons in law are quite tall and find sharing...

Green Features: We were keenly aware of the emphasis on recycling and learned more about Little Sweden's environmentally friendly practices.

Just got back from our July 8-12, 2013 stay. Family of four, kids 9,10 stayed in the one bedroom unit #1413 on the ground floor walk out to the golf course. Loved the concrete/brick terrace with table and shared bbq with a simply amazing view of the golf course. Each unit walks out to their own terrace area, but they are all joined and you can walk to the far side and there is a fire pit with seating all around and free wood. Never a problem having access to the bbq, and always felt like we had our own little private view of the golf course, even when others were out. The room was very clean and we loved the fire place. People complaining about having to reset the 60 minute timer on the gas fire place, really?! The TV needs to be hung a bit more pointed down so the remote works better, but we did not feel it was a big deal to lift our hands higher when using the remote.
The free bicycles were amazing to use to go down to the indoor and outdoor pool complex. We spent many hours swimming and playing ping pong and even did a bit of exercise in the gym.
No one bothered us to go to a time share selling speal, which was a first and very welcome to not be bothered.
I cannot say enough about the friendly staff, imaculate grounds and facilities and our overall experience.
Recommend going to the Peninsula state park and Nicolet beach to swim and do some biking. Also Green Bay has an amusement park where the rides are 25 cents each. We had lunch, and rode for hours and spent about $25 for the day!
Jason at Witt Ford in Sturgeon Bay saved our vacation by fixing our truck that broke down and getting us a rental so we could enjoy ourselves while they repaired it. Thanks Witt Ford!!!
The 2/3 bedroom log cabins looked lovely as we took the 5 minute walk from our room down to the pool area and we would like to try them someday.
I would totally recommend Little Sweden to anyone, and hope to some day return (perhaps with just my wife so we can enjoy some of the winery tours!)
