We called and signed up for a sunset boat tour 2 days in advance. They called back and confirmed our date and reservation. They also said that they needed 2 more participants to make the boat tour a go (and profitable. Which I totally get)
They said that if they cancelled it they would call me and confirmed my number.
We came 30 minutes early, like they said. And saw several other people looking and waiting for them to open. Many more than 4, which they said they needed 6 people total to make it go and we had 2 adults in our party.
The well marked tour sign in spot read closed and was empty. It stayed that way until we left at 7:15, 15 minutes after scheduled departure and 45 minutes after we were asked to be there. No phone call. No note left.
I called and left a message stating the situation and my disappointment. I did receive a call the next day from them. But they chose to not address the problem from the night before and invited us to join them on the cruise that night. Right. Like I was going to waste another evening on a poorly run enterprise and risk my son being disappointed yet again on the possibility of his first boat ride. No thank you. We are trying the cruise company out of Sister Bay.

Although most part of 90 minutes (say an hour) are useless, still this is worth trying once. The sight of some million dollar homes along the state park is a treat to watch. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, polite and kept us entertaining with his music in the sunset cruise. The sight of the sunset from middle of the sea is enjoyable. Overall it is a pretty decent tour and would recommend to give it a try at least once.

We were disappointed on this tour. We did Millionnaires Row, and didn't feel we really got very close to see much if anything. Our tour guide was not friendly or informative (captain was nice - too bad he wasn't our guide). Our guide had a few facts but didn't interact well with our tour goers or have much to say to impromptu questions. The boat itself was very hot - no breeze and several people complained and want to move to the back uncovered section of the boat, but there is only room for about 4 people back there. We thought this was a waste of time.

My husband took our two kids, ages 7 & 5, on the Millionaires row/island tour. Cost is $39 for adults, but kids 12 and under are free. Captain was excellent, let both of our kids "drive" the boat. The tour guide was also very nice and very informative. It is a great way to spend 1.5 - 2 hours.

We had a wonderful time on our sunset boat cruise on Green Bay. First of all we received a 'senior' discount. Jim who took our reservation over the phone, was very friendly, and we were warmly greeted when boarding the vessel. Our boat captain was a proficient pilot, and the young man who narrated and sang during the cruise was very qualified as well. There were binoculars on board for our use, as well as a map showing our route. All safety measures were aboard and of course, unneeded. You may also take your own snacks and beverages onboard. Cokes, etc are available for purchase. At first we were skeptical about a sunset cruise with music, but the narration and music were the perfect touch for this cruise. If ever back in the area, we would definitely do another one of their cruises.
