“Love this Place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

We have dinner here usually once a month or more. Sean & his staff do a wonderful job taking care of the customers! We are always greeted with a smile! The staff is aware of my gluten free needs & are very accommodating. The food is always delicious & very reasonably priced! We brought our son here for his birthday & they had a very nice birthday cake for him! We look forward to our home cooked dinners & friendly staff! Thank you for all that you do!

“an OK meal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

Interesting building, pleasant interior. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. However, the salad was quite ordainary, mostly iceberg lettuce. The relishes are a nice touch and the sort of thing one doesn't see very often. My husband and I shared the pork chops which were very good. There is a split charge. Our companions' shrimp looked way over-breaded. The house shiraz is Yellowtail, an OK wine for the money. All in all, it was a decent meal at a decent price, but nothing special.

“B rated Supper Club”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

Hadn't been there in years. Initial impression it was quaint w/small bar and log interior with small dining room however, dining tables in bar area as well. Waitress was very good and accommodating. She also was very apologetic about what they didn't have. In example, she brought out some mayo and vinegar type cold salad type of appetizers with peas, corn & looked like canned beans. Looked like they were done on the cheap and very unappetizing compared to the traditional fresh veggies w/dip, coleslaw, cheese & crackers and perhaps a very good deli type salad. When we asked for cheese on our side salad, she said they really didn't have any other than American processed cheese. No grated Parmesan and/or cheddar. We were looking to order somewhat light after traveling and had a little bit more to go. We only ordered the one Rib Plate because it only came as a 12 oz King cut (which really isn't King size) and a 9 oz Queen cut (which in WI is usually about 12 oz) but and only if you add the deep fried shrimp to it for an additional up charge of and an additional charge if you want it grilled not fried. Hmm, I wonder if the chef had to thaw out the breaded frozen shrimp and rub off the breading which is why is cost more etc.. We ordered the King Prime Rib and 3 piece chicken. The prime rib really had no seasoning however, waitress was real good about have hot au jus sauce and offered supposedly their house horseradish type sauce which was cold and probably out of the refrigerator. The chicken appeared to be batter fried properly but was a little dry or not juicy. Lastly, the au gratin cheese potatoes tasted that they were boxed scalloped potatoes w/american cheese slices on them.

“Excellent food, wonderful staff and the best owner of a restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

My husband and I have eaten at the Stagecoach for many years and have either brought or told friends who now go there and love it! Our favorite waitress is Rosie who has waited on us for over 15 and I think more + years, but really, all the wait staff are great. Sean is a wonderful owner and always checks to make sure your meal is excellent which it always is. We love the friendly atmosphere at the bar and they make a great old fashion. My husband loves the blue cheese stuffed olives in his drinks ,whether it is a bloody Mary or an old fashioned. He always orders the dinner broiled scallops which are wonderful - I either order the scallops or the prime rib and shrimp - both are excellent choices on a Sat. night. They have homemade dressing for your salads and I always get the French and thousand island on the side as they are so good, it is hard to choose - their lazy susan is good - my husband loves their beet salad. We both always order their au gratin potatoes which are very good. Always a great time and wonderful food. In fact, we are going there this Sat. (June 9). So looking forward to it. We come from Madison and we know there are a lot of restaurants to go to there but we love the Stagecoach! hope you enjoy my review and will come and see your yourselves.

“One of the BEST in Wisconsin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014

We have been traveling from Sun Prairie and now Columbus to this restaurant for many years because of the very friendly atmosphere there, and the very courteous service of the staff, but mainly due to the excellence of the of the food served.
They are going through a rough time due to reconstruction of Hwy 26, but it is worth the trouble
to pull off the unfinished Hwy 26 to be served excellent cocktails at the bar while waiting a short time to be served.
This last visit I had their Saturday Special - King Cut Prime Rib. Excellent.
