On Lake Koshgonong, off HWY 106 between Town of Busseyville and Fort Atkinson. We stopped in for Friday Night Fish-fry and I want to stop back in the summer for a beer and burger. There is outdoor seating w/ a lake and woodsy view. The inside is larger than it looks from the outside and much cooler. This was a clean back-woods-cabin feel with 2 separate dining areas - fireplace in the corner, high-top tables on-top of whiskey barrels, bar area - other side has lower tables with another bar area. Pick up a menu from the bar - seat yourself - order at the bar and then they bring the food to you when it's ready. They have a wide variety of offerings - appetizers to full dinners. I liked the kick-back feel in a very clean and comfortable environment - friendly staff but don't expect full table service. We both ordered the beer battered 4oz cod fish - 2 pc - that included a dinner roll, applesauce, sweeter/creamy coleslaw, and a choice of potato - fries, waffle fries, baked, or potato pancakes for $8.95 each - bottle of beer for $3. The fish was very good and hot - but it sure looked like it was cooked up right out of the box - it didn't look like they battered it and a dinner roll that also looked like it came out of a package. The meal was okay and the price was average - go for the experience. It's a cool looking place that can make it feel warm and inviting in the winter and looks like it'd be cool and fun in the summer. The bar is a lower bar for comfortable seating around it - to dine or have a beverage; the high tables are for 4 to 6; the tables in the other room could accommodate up to 8.

Stopped in and had dinner on a Saturday night. In Wisconsin Saturday means Prime Rib so that is what we ordered. We should have stuck to bar food. First you seat yourself, after awhile no one showed up at the table to take a drink order. We were informed that you go to the bar to place drink and food orders. No waitress. Worried I asked the bartender if the prime rib was fresh and cut to order. She insured it was cut to order. Our two medium rare prime rib orders came out ash gray all the way through. The au gratins appeared to be boxed hash browns with a cheese sauce mixed in. For a bar by the lake it was ok, but it wasn't a supper club by any means. Most of the business appears to be boaters off the lake as it is tucked away and almost impossible to find by car.

I was by myself and waited 45 minutes plus for Fish Fry. I ordered the Parmesan Baked Cod for $14.99??? It had good flavor but it was cheap twice frozen cod and it was dry. I feel way overpriced for the quality.

We have a seasonal site at Jellstone Park in Ft. Atkinson. We enjoy coming on Friday night for the fish frys, but have also come on Satuday's as well. All the food is great. My daughter is partial to the hamburgers. My husband LOVES the fish frys! This place is always busy, and the staff is casual and very friendly. Remember to bring cash, as they don't accept Credit Cards (but Norm does have an ATM if you need it). Love the "cabin-like" atmosphere and they have a nice deck to enjoy the outdoors. Bathroom is always clean. Keep up the good work!
