“Definitely not worth $190.00 a night”
Reviewed 5 January 2011

Cleanliness: Lobby area appeared clean and well maintained.

Location: The hotel is approximately 8-to-9 miles from Lambeau Field. We were in-town for Bears vs. Packers game. If you're in-town for a game and decide to stay at the hotel it's cheaper to drive to the game and park in someone's yard for $10.00. The Packer fans will even serve you beer and food. Otherwise, a cab from the hotel will cost you $30.00-to-$40.00 each way.

Rooms: Thermostat was not working in room. The room’s temperature was around 60% all night even though we changed settings to 75%.

Service: Room or comparable room was not ready at time of check-in. Front desk attendant told us to come back after Bears vs. Packers game to check-in which would have been close to 8:00 p.m. or approximately 5 hours after 3:00 p.m. check-in. We ended up paying for upgrade to another room just to check-in and get situated before the game. The attendant was not even helpful in recommending restaurants for lunch when we asked and seem more concerned with pushing us off.

Value: What we paid to stay at the hotel far exceeded value ($190.00 for one night!). We would have preferred just to stay at a Starwood Hotel property had I known and earn the points.

Sleep Quality: Bed had three tiny pillows which were not comfortable at all. We called down to the front desk and requested three additional pillows just to try to get comfortable. We decided just to wake-up early and hit the road back to Chicago the bed was so uncomfortable.

Overall: The hotel does attempt to go above and beyond by serving breakfast: Hotel needs to have sign that advises other guests to wear shoes. We saw a girl who was barefoot by the breakfast station and it was gross.

We have stayed at this hotel three times - once in 2006, with another couple for a Packer game; once in 2008 with our kids, for a winter getaway, and most recently with adult family members to celebrate a birthday. We love this place! It is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Even the housekeeping staff smiles and says hello. The pool area is very nice. The complimentary breakfast is excellent and well-stocked. On our recent stay we asked if we could use the breakfast room late in the evening for our little birthday celebration (to have cake & coffee together) and they had no problem with it. If I had to say anything at all negative it would only be that the location is not ideal if you want to visit anything on the west side of the river (Lambeau, Oneida, etc) because you have to travel across town, but it's a small price to pay for such a nice place. We will continue to be return customers.

How may "excellents" can we use in a review? Well, we hope many for this hotel.

Rooms, pools and spa, breakfast, friendly staff, cleanliness etc You sort of got the impression we were impressed? Two minor criticisms, otherwise we would have given 5 /5 for the rooms: older TV needs updating and limited hanging space. Our biggest gripe: we were here only one night!

We also have to give a big plug for Rosati's Pizza, less than two miles away to the East. Great night, friendly staff and host and a well-stocked bar (Aussies love that!)

I was very pleased with this hotel on the East side of Green Bay just off of I-43. I was shocked when I opened the door to my room to find how large it was - with a separate sitting room, wet bar area, and bedroom with its own door. The sitting room was furnished a little cheaply, but the granite in the wet bar area, fridge, and microwave made up for it! I also appreciated how the staff was willing to go the extra mile to help me out in the morning when the in-room hairdryer broke before my business meeting.
I found this property to be as nice as others in the area that charge a much larger price, and I would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for four days in mid-July. We also stayed here four years ago, and I think it's gotten even better. The staff is always extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is plentiful and appetizing. The young lady who oversees the breakfast area is constantly cleaning, refilling items, and even though she is very busy, she still greets you with a smile and a "Good Morning". There are always individually wrapped fresh cookies at the front desk and if there aren't, just ask and they'll make some. I am very picky when it comes to hotel and room cleanliness and this hotel met all my expectations. The pool is large compared to other hotel pools and it included a children's play area with pool toys. There is also a basketball hoop in the pool area. The hotel is located in a quiet, safe area away from the busier areas of town. The only complaint I have, and it's a minor one, is that we belong to the hotel's reward program and when we requested a room upgrade the young man checking us in told us they were too busy to honor our request. We found this quite interesting because we noticed several of the upgraded room types were unoccupied during our stay. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next trip to Green Bay.
