I got a great price on this room and was really excited to stay here with my 22 month old and 4 year old. That was until we took them to the pool. The pool was absolutely freezing. It was easter sunday and the General Manager Malinda was working. I approached her and asked if the pool was always that cold. She said it was set 82 degrees. My 2 children had to spend the whole time in the hot tub to swim, which by the way wasn't even as warm as water I usually give them baths in. Curious to see the temp I went to walmart and bought a thermometer. the pool didn't even register on the 75 degree and higher theremometer and the hot tub registered at 79.

I will never stay at this very nice hotel again for this reason. You can't expect little kids to swim in a freezing cold pool. I talked to other guests (at least 4) and they all loved the hotel but also agreed they would never again stay at this hotel because of the pool temperature. Another guest said they had stayed there before and encountered the same problem.

I spent 3 nights here in July. It was hot and muggy. The room was great and the comfort system wonderful. They've made a few changes to the air conditioning system and the room is as comfortable as "home". The staff was very accommodating and informative. The free breakfast was good - you could eat enough to stuff yourself or watch your weight with some healthier foods. The pool was small - didn't seem to be very inviting. But, I'm sure for weary families on the road it was just fine. The area seems to be growing so there are several newer restaurants and small shops (and a very big grocery store) close by.

this Fairfield has the updated Marriott beds ( no uncomfortable springs protruding into your back) decent shower pressure , expanded cable , Showtime, comedy central. Wireless internet with their equipment worked fine, clean room. however no laundry facility onsight. Very needed for those of us staying at hotels for weeks at a time. also dry cleaning prices not disclosed ahead of time. They are not pre-printed. Quiet. close to highway. Would stay again but only for much shorter stays. Fruit at breakfast for 2 weeks has been over ripe. Bananas are brown and apples are bruised. overall ok.

Overall, I've been pleased with Fairfield Inn -- the fact that they both a breakfast and internet access for fairly reasonable rates has been valuable to me as a business traveler. This hotel is conveniently located near a grocery store and a UPS store, as well as the highway, which is nice.

Two things I find frustrating, though:
First is the way some hotels insist on making wireless internet access as difficult as can be to use. If you're going to advertise wi-fi was one of the main benefits of staying in the hotel, then it should be as easy as can be for guests to log on. Yet at multiple Fairfield Inns, it's proven to be a more complicated exercise than necessary. At this one, the problem was that there's only one password allowed per room, even though two of us were staying and we both have laptops. These passwords are "preassigned" by the internet company, so it's not even like a manager can override it and allow another.

Second, the 12:00 p.m. checkout time is generous, but the breakfast ends at 9:00 a.m. is unusually early. Why the three hour gap, forcing those of us to who arrive late to have to get up extra early in order to have breakfast? At least extend breakfast to 10:00 or even 10:30 or 11 would make a big difference, but probably wouldn't matter in terms of hotel expense or staff time too much. It's not like they are paying to someone to stand there and cook us omelets (although I've stayed in many hotels that do, and that also serve breakfast much later).

Overall, though, I was pleased and would stay in this hotel again. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Marriott overall is excellent at training its staff, it seems. That's a nice touch. The hotel was also quiet and has windows that can be cracked open for fresh air -- both appreciated.
