The staff was very accommodating, cheerful and helpful. The food was fresh and delicious. Spend the money on the club level. It was definitely worth it! The bed was very comfortable, and the six head shower was awesome! Really loved our stay!

We traded in through RCI and stayed here with our 2 daughters. We had the 1 bedroom unit. One bonus is that the girls thought the sleeper couch was very comfortable. The resort has a lot of amenities including a horse stable and a small water park. The grounds are beautifully maintained. If I had any complaint it is that the cookware is pretty skimpy for a timeshare. If you plan on cooking much, you may want to bring 1 sharp knife and a non stick skillet.

I stayed at the Grand Geneva for a friend's birthday. We went to the Chop House for dinner and had a wonderful dinner. The service was great and the food was delicious. We also went to the Chop House for the buffet brunch on Sunday morning. It had an amazing spread from red velvet pancakes to a waffle bar, french toast, as well as all you can eat seafood. The chocolate fountain was also a highlight at the dessert table.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a nice getaway, wedding reception, or any kind of celebration!

This resort and spa has lovely rooms on a very picturesque setting. We were there for a bridge tournament and the playing room was well lit. We did not use any of the amenities (except for Starbucks located in the lobby). The only drawback we found was that there are 4 buildings connected by hallways - lots of up and down ramps and stairs. There was only one elevator located near the lobby which was close to Building 4. Alas, we were in building 1, so it was a long trip to Starbucks. We were offered complimentary champagne or hot cider when we checked in - a very nice touch.

Room Tip: Rooms in Building 4 are closest to lobby and restaurants.

I recently spent a lovely fall weekend in Lake Geneva. It had been many years since I had visited Lake Geneva. When I go away for the weekend, it's usually a distant town or city and involves air travel. No more.I forgot how close Lake Geneva is to the City of Chicago. In less than 2 hours, we arrived at The Grand Geneva. Such a lovely resort - inside and out. Beautiful grounds, great amenities, so much to do that we couldn't fit it all in one weekend....Great golf course, awesome spa, indoor pool, outdoor pool, great restaurants and bars. There was even a cafe in the lobby that served Starbucks and gelato. The service was top notch everywhere we went in the resort.

Our room was modern, had a great pillow top mattress, tv in the bathroom and a nice patio. We can't wait to go back. Also, less than 10 minutes from town which also offered a nice variety of restaurants, as well as little shops and boutiques.

I was really looking forward to going the Grand Geneva for weeks, for a long weekend, and wanted it to be close to perfect.
As much as I wanted it to be excellent, in good faith to other travelers I can not give GG the excellent rating.
First the grounds, and golf courses that are part of the GG are excellent.
Second, You do stay in the room, and that is where the rating goes down. The room is fine, but it does not match up to the cost per night. Nothing was wrong with it (and we had an upgraded room-lakeview). Little details were not cleaned, so the room can not be excellent. Complimentary chocolates that were left for us on the first evening, stayed all day the next day, even after evening turn down service. Why? It was obvious that some of them where gone, and some stayed. They should have taken the plate away, and also replaced our used water glasses with clean ones. A small bug in the corner of the bathrrom that needed to be wiped away. Excellent equals attention to detail in every room, every night.

Third, common areas are dated, but that can be overlooked if your room is great.

We also had access to the Grand Geneva Club, and that was very nice to have breakfast for two mornings, and we also took advantage one night of the cocktail hour.
I want to stay at the GG again, in hopes that it will be excellent.

We stayed 1 night in a Jr. King Suite in Building 4 , right off the elevator. Nice to be near the lobby , restaurants, etc. They give you a complimentary glass of champagne at check in, and the staff was very helpful all around. Very quiet and beautiful room - loved the gas fireplace in the seating area, and lovely view of the lake. We had lunch in the Cafe and dinner in the ChopHouse, both very good and delicious. Also had drinks in the lobby bar where a jazz trio was playing - nice area to chill out after dinner. We had altogether a great stay and look forward to our next visit !

Room Tip: If you don't want to walk too much, ask for building 4 rooms. Very accessible from lobby.
