Better than anticipated in some respects and worse in others. Main attraction - watermark- was hit with young kids. Three main complaints are: pool area was freezing once out of water (staff claimed 80 degrees-not possible), towels were in very short supply and lockers rooms needed more regular housekeeping on busy weekend. Rooms were fine - nice to have kitchen available. Was quiet and generally clean. Agree with other reviewers that some common areas needed. attention. Activities ( arcade and craft time) were added bonus for kids. Weather didn't permit skiing or sledding. Will try again - perhaps at different time of year. Less of a resort and more of a waterpark with a hotel.

We stayed with two grandchildren (ages 10 and 7) the day before Thanksgiving. Spacious rooms with full kitchen made it easy to have dinner and not have to leave the hotel. This was a surprise for the kids and they certainly had a great time. Even my husband and I enjoyed the lazy river and the riding on a raft down the big slide a number of time. (and to think I am NOT a water slide person!) Hot tub was a highlight because it is open to the outside as well. Very interesting to be in warm water while the air temperature was in the 20's, especially at night. Although the kiddie area was not appropriate for our kids it certainly looked inviting for those with younger families. Because of the smaller size of the water park it made it easy to see the kids and for them to find us! Certainly there was enough to do with two big slides, the log and rope challenge, lazy river and hot tub. Throughout the day they show movies on a large tv screen in the activity room. Nice way for the kids to relax after two visits to the pool area. Enjoyed the arcade as well. An extra highlight was a ride over to the Grand Geneva where it was all decked out for the holidays. We found our room to be very clean and were pleased to know it was ready for us upon early arrival. Definitely going here again and bringing their parents next time to join in the fun. Wanted to be sure to mention the pleasant staff - lots of smiles and ever so helpful in answering questions.

went to lake geneva for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend. we stayed at the timber ridge hotel. average hotel, liked the fact that it had a kitchen in our room so we didnt have to eat out every night and spend money. the waterpark has an indoor and outdoor pool, kiddie area, 2-3 water slides and a decent size lazy river. if your expecting it to be like noahs arc you will be disappointed. if you stay at this hotel they will give you free armband entrances each day and thats the only reason we used it. if you dont stay here i wouldnt recommend paying the $30-40 per person its not worth it.

We stayed here in fall of 2012 and had a fantastic time! The waterpark isn't huge but is very nice. We basically stayed in the kiddie pool area and the lazy river which my son absolutley loved. The kiddie area had enough things to do to keep any little and big kid entertained and the zero depth entry is very nice for little ones. They had an activity pool for older kids and a good sized slide and a hot tub somewhere I never did get to. For us staying on a weekend I thought the pool area would be mobbed, but actually it never seemed to be too crowded. The resort had other activites that you could do, being that it was close to halloween they had haunted hay rides and games, bon fires but we found out most cost extra money. There was also a arcade that we stopped into for a brief time but most games are for older kids. We ate at the cafe that over looked the pool area on the first night, good food, but average price for a resort. There are other places to eat at the resort but they are in other areas of the resort. The room was awesome suite with a jaquizzi tub and a fireplace as well. The room also had a kitchen so you can bring your own food to cook. Just basic cooking utensils so don't get all fancy with it. All in all it was a great time and I will be going back one day again.

We have stayed at timber ridge about two other times. the best part is the rooms, fireplace with a full kitchen, great bathroom with huge jazzi tub separate bedroom and living room with pull out couch and that fireplace. there is a little balcany but we never go when it is warm enough to sit out there. love the rooms. food is ok very fast service in restruant and room service. pool is good safe and clean, life guards are great. the only thing that has changed is the activities for kids they used to have something each hour now it is only three for the whole day. they are free which is great. i also miss the cookies and the daily cookie decorating. they have the best cookies there. all in all i would stay there again it is always a great time.
