Lake Geneva is a resort town with a variety of local and national restaurants and shops. The lake is in a beautiful setting near the southeast border of Wisconsin so it attracts many families from Illinois. Unfortunately, most of the properties around the lake are privately owned, so getting access to or even a glimpse of the lake by car is tough. Fortunately, Elm Park is a small public park on the lake and close to the shops, restaurants and parking. Public restrooms are available in a building called "The Rivera" near the small public beach. The beach has an admission fee: young children are free, but adults cost $7.00/day.
