We tried other downtown ice cream shops, but keep coming back here. Some of the staff could be more friendly, but others make it enjoyable experience. ( Our visits were not on busy evenings.). They have a little cone called the junior perfect for economical and waistline friendly scoops. This place is a bit more expensive than the other ice cream shops by about a dollar a scoop, but we haven't found anything we like as well. We will be back!

Kilwins is by far the most populated shop throughout town. You have to wait for ten minutes at least to get your ice cream. There are about twenty-five flavors to choose from, and they are all delicious.
I've been here multiple times, and the staff are almost always friendly. I've only experienced one cashier who was a little bit snippy when we didn't make it to her register right away.
When you walk in the door, your mouth can't help but water. The smell is divine, and you see some of the most decadent fudge around. All the food is overpriced. The ice cream is about $4.50 per single scoop cone. While it's delicious, if you have a younger child, you should take them to another ice cream place because I guarantee they will not know the difference. If you have old enough kids to really enjoy the ice cream, however, the splurge once in a while is worth it.

You walk in and instantly put on weight. The toffee Tuttle and praline pecan ice cream were awesome. That was a nice treat walking around the lake.

If you love fudge, home made candy or ice cream even half as much as I do, I would highly recommend it!
