We were meeting friends for the weekend and decided to stay at a B&B rather than a hotel. What a great decision! Cindy and John were wonderful hosts - they made us feel welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spacious and well appointed, the breakfast was excellent, and John even built a fire in the fireplace so we could spend the evening visiting in the parlor while enjoying a cup of tea. We are looking forward to a return trip in the future. Thank you, John and Cindy, for for a wonderful weekend!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Victorian Dreams. The rooms were enormous and very clean, and the home is beautifully restored and decorated. The hosts were very accommodating of our dietary requests (and our late check-in), and served amazing breakfasts both days despite our restrictions! We also enjoyed mingling with the owners and the other guests at the wine and cheese tasting. We'd definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Fireplaces and jacuzzis are available in some rooms.

Visiting from British Columbia our daughter & son-in-law in Madison, we wanted a get away and relaxing spot for the four of us. Victorian Dreams suited us perfectly! The decor is tastefully authentic and the rooms gracious and very comfortable, plus super clean. Breakfast was delicious.
Cindy and John were terrific hosts providing us with route suggestions for bike rides and letting us know about local events. All our questions and requests were were answered with friendly smiles.
It was fun to chat with other guest over wine and cheese each evening.

We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely B&B the weekend of Nov. 4-5 in a town with a lot of wonderful architecture. John and Cindy were the perfect hosts and made our stay in Delia's Room the experience that we were looking for. The main house and the adjacent home (where we stayed) were just beautiful. The rooms are quite large for a Victorian home and that certainly added to our comfort. The surrounding countryside was beautiful with color and things to do. A short ride from the Chicago area and well worth a return visit.

Room Tip: We toured all rooms and I can truthfully say I would stay in any of them!

We were there 10/14-10/16/11 in the Josephine Room and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. Our room was in pristine condition and cleaned thoroughly each day. The hot tub in the room was the best part, and you can watch a movie from the tub! Loved the wine and cheese tasting, and they serve local wines and cheeses! John and Cindy were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful not just for our stay, but for helping us find local activities. John was a chef / restaurant owner prior to this, so needless to say the breakfasts were delectable. The only non-perfect thing was that the room was slightly colder than we would prefer, but hardly uncomfortable. Highly recommend it and hope to return soon.
