It's a beautiful, historic hotel with lots of art in it. The service is excellent, delivered by hospitable people. The only problem I had was with excessive heat in the room, but a staff member helped solve the problem promptly, to my satisfaction.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with good thermostat control.

Was here for a conference in November, 2013 and really enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and professional, the room was clean and very well appointed, and the bathroom was gorgeous and a very good size. The lobby was beautiful, I loved the lounge area, and overall was very impressed with the property.

Room Tip: I stayed in the Tower - view from my room was of the waterfront. Very nice.

We loved all 3 rooms - 1 suite in the historic portion, 2 regular rooms in the modern. It was surprisingly affordable for such luxury. All the staff was really nice and attentive. I got a spa package which also gave me gift certificates to Mason Street Grill, bars, and 25% off spa services. all of these things are as high quality as the rest of the hotel - locals go to Blu, Mason Street, and the Well Spa for special pampering. Can't wait to visit again!

Room Tip: They claimed there might be construction noise in the modern section, but no one heard anything.

We did not stay at the hotel - although it looks lovely and was comparably priced for downtown. We did spend each evening at the hotel. There is a cozy piano bar in the lobby; a restaurant we did not go into but did go to the attached lounge. There is a jazz group each evening and very friendly people. The crowning touch is literally the crown- there is a beautiful lounge on the 23rd floor called BLU. It has a snack menu, a beautiful view, and a combo - very pretty, comfortable and romantic:-)

We celebrated here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Room located in the Tower which was recently renovated! Room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Bed was so comfy and inviting. We took the Breakfast Package which included breakfast which was excellent as well.

Stayed in the older section, with a small convention. Love Victoriania. Every staff person was so friendly. There is a warm fireplace in the first floor bar and an outrageous view from the 23rd floor bar or swimming pool. Also a sitting area on second floor has little tables, each near an outlet. Why use the business center when you can listen to piano music or the joyful noise of people in the foyer while you work on your laptop. The Victorian Art Collection is enjoyable, found at every turn. Or, just walk a few minutes up Wisconsin to the Milwaukee Art Museum ($17 admission) that has a collection of over 30,000 works of art, and a structure designed by Santiago Calatrava located right on the lake. Indoors or outdoors, I recommend this visit.

Room Tip: I was on the third floor, older section, right on the street. Loved it. It seemed very quiet, thou...

The Pfister is a very beautiful hotel located in the heart of downtown within walking distance to many places. There are restaurants in the hotel, as well as Blu, which is a bar on top of the hotel that has a magnificent view. There is even a spa in the hotel. My husband and I stayed in the Tower King room (which are the higher rooms) and had a spectacular view of downtown and could even see part of Lake Michigan from the window. We live in Milwaukee and it was a night's stay home away from home at my favourite hotel!

Room Tip: The Tower rooms which are higher up have a great view!
