Owner description: Harley-Davidson motorcycles bring heart-thumping adventure, life-changing freedom and a bit of rebellion into the lives of people around the world. But whether you were born to be wild - or mild - makes no difference at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Much more than a nostalgia trip for motorcycle enthusiasts, the Museum offers a glimpse of American history and culture like you've never seen before - through the successes and trials of an iconic American company. Interactive, eye-catching exhibits present an unparalleled collection of legendary stories of our nation's last century. Located on 20 acres in downtown Milwaukee, the Museum offers free parking, Motor Bary & Restaurant, Cafe Racer, The Shop, park-like outdoor spaces, special event rentals, guided tours for group of 15 or more, and Steel Toe Tours of the Powertrain Operations, home of the big-twin engine.

If you ever in Milwaukee and have a chance to take in the sights, stop and visit the Harley-Davidson Museum. I do not ride, but after taking the self guided tour I am thinking of it :). The price is fair for the history you learn. I had always wondered why the motors had name like, Knuckle head, Pan head and Shovel head. After taking in the tour I know now and you can hear them roar there. A fun trip for anyone to enjoy, even if your not a Hog type of person.

My husband and I own Goldwings but still enjoyed this museum very much. The exhibits were well curated and it was interesting to see how they have evolved throughout the years. Don't think I would have really enjoyed it if we didn't own a motorcycle, though.

Great display of Harley's!! History and years written everywhere to know the great beginning of Harley to the present. Very interesting how they were able to keep the factories going even throughout the war years by helping with the war efforts. And great fun at the end to be able to actually sit on some bikes!
