Thank you for your comments and your return visits to our unique Hotel! All very appreciated!

We are very proud of our Hotel, our wonderful location, and our signature restaurant, The Anchorage. But we are most proud of the levels of customer service shown by our entire staff, including those at our Front Desk and Bell Stand. (Nice to read that Vance is slowly becoming a sort of customer service icon to those he encounters!)

Please come again soon!

The quality of the rooms were that of a Red Roof Inn not a Hilton. If it wasn't for the area being sold out because of the Lacrosse Tournament we were in town for, we would have left to stay somewhere else. The first room was dirty, the carpet was stained everywhere and there were holes/tears in the carpet and the closet door was completely off center. I requested to be moved due to the poor conditions and the over amount of noise from the unit next to us as they were having a party and being very loud for the time of night it was. The second room was no better. Spider webs in multiple corners of the room, wallpaper tore and hanging off the wall, wallpaper coming off the walls in a straight line, the bathroom door was warped and the floor around the tub was gross. Something really needs to be done about the rooms and the cleanliness/upkeep. Secondly..I left my pants in a drawer of the first room (338) and the following morning I realized as I went to finish getting dressed I had no pants. I called the desk...they had me on hold for over 5 min and then came back to ask me if they could call me back later. NO. I had to leave and couldn't because my pants were in the other room. I can't believe they asked to call me back after leaving me on hold for so long. Seriously...It was a bad weekend.

Thank you for your time and comments following your stay with us.

As was done on other online forums to which you provided similar commentary, we do apologize, and have done so directly to you repeatedly by other members of our staff, regarding the circumstances of your stay with us.

Many of our other guests, including those affiliated with the same Lacrosse tournament that brought you to our Hotel, complimented us on the services they received, on the levels of customer service shown to them by our staff members, and of the overall quality of our Hotel and award-winning restaurant, The Anchorage.

Our Hotel also has received very high marks from our overnight and dining patrons on this very Trip Advisor site, where we take great pride in working hard to earn these marks. Both our Hotel and our restaurant also have earned the 2013 Award of Excellence from Trip Advisor as well.

The condition of your particular guestroom was certainly not up to our collective standards. I did thank our Front Desk for making the correct decisions in relocating your room as best as we could during a busy weekend session, as well as admonish our Housekeeping and Maintenance staffs for the gaffes that allowed an out-of-order room to be placed back into general inventory, and was subsequently checked-in for your stay.

This room is certainly not indicative of our entire Hotel, as we have made substantial enhancements to our property over the past few years.

I sympathize with your inconveniences that weekend, and assure you that corrective measures on all applicable fronts have been done.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It has a beautiful view of a river from the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was a bit pricey, but was excellent and the staff helpful. The banquet facilities, staff, and food was beyond my expectations. The ease of check in and checkout was surprising. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Thank you so much for your comments about our hotel, and in particular, the dining and catering capabilities shown by our signature restaurant, The Anchorage!

Many events hosted here at our Hotel can trace their success to the quality, attentiveness, and setting of our facility and The Anchorage. We are quite proud of their efforts, and are glad to read that they were well-received!

The Anchorage also has their own dedicated Trip Advisor listing so they can be formally recognized as well.

We look forward to welcoming you back again!

the folks at the Anchorage are the best - Sandy, Ray, Jill and Brian make you feel right at home when you are away from your own family - I would highly recommend a stay here sometime. The hotel is also a great location from Bayshore and close to downtown as well.

Thank you so very much for your warm comments about our signature restaurant at our hotel, The Anchorage.

As we are about to celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are very proud of both the ambiance and quality within the restaurant itself, as well as the dedicated staff members that make dining there a positive experience!

You join the many other guests who fully appreciate having such a high-quality restaurant and bar setting within the confines of a full-serviced hotel environment! And one that enjoys the location benefits to both Glendale’s and Milwaukee’s businesses and attractions.

I highly encourage you to also provide these comments directly to The Anchorage's own dedicated Trip Advisor site, where these staff members you cited here can be specifically recognized to other dining fans and patrons of The Anchorage!

We thank you again for your continued patronage of our Hotel, of our unique restaurant, and look forward to welcoming you back again very soon!

Just north of downtown and conveniently located off the expressway, the hotel was very reasonably priced ($137 included 2 buffet breakfasts) for a Hilton branded property. Made me a little suspicious. I'm sure the price has something to do with location (not downtown) as well as being long-in-the-tooth on decor. We had a first floor room and had to go up a small ramp from the lobby to get there. Not a big deal for us but found it unusual. Room overlooked the river but nothing really scenic to see. Hotel is in need of an update badly and I'm sure the price goes up once/if that happens. Otherwise the hotel was relatively clean, staff friendly, restaurant buffet was good and price was right. Just not you're typical Hilton branded experience.

Thank you very much for your comments!

Our Hotel does enjoy the location benefits of being very near the Bayshore Town Center in Glendale, as well as to Milwaukee's downtown, lakefront, and ward districts. It also gives year-round views of the Milwaukee River / Estabrook Park banks which many other guests truly appreciate compared to urban locations.

We also offer a wide variety of discounted packages for overnight stays, rotating seasonally, that may include extra items such as breakfast vouchers, movies passes, dinner vouchers for our award-winning restaurant, The Anchorage, or shopping passes to the above-mentioned Bayshore Town Center Mall. (All depending on which package you select.) I'm glad that you enjoyed the one you booked with us.

Our property is always looking to improve, and recently completed projects such as new corridor carpeting and wallpaper, new guestroom TVs and safes, new banquet and lobby furniture, and a remodeled restaurant. Additional changes and improvements are always in the mix.

We do look forward to welcoming you back again!

I'm at the Hilton Milwaukee River as I write this. It's what you expect. It's clean, updated, nice bed and all the other good stuff. Food in pub was good and it's easy access to interstate. Friendly staff and service. I came in on a Sunday night so hard to tell what's nearby but it's serving my work purposes with its meeting rooms.

Thank you for your comments following your recent stay with us.

I'm glad to read that the combination of our clean and refurbished accommodations, our friendly staff, and our signature restaurant / lounge, The Anchorage, all combined to make for a productive work trip!

With our location and interstate access, guests staying with us are within minutes of the businesses and attractions within Milwaukee's downtown and lakefront areas, as well as to those in our immediate Glendale neighborhood, such as the Bayshore Town Center Mall and the Sprecher Brewery! (Just for future reference should your schedule allow for any excursions out of the Hotel.)

Hope to welcome you back again!

We were attending a family wedding during Summerfest so this hotel was a more reasonable location than downtown Milwaukee. The hotel is on the river which provides a pleasant view and area to walk. The common area has a bit of that stale smoke and mildew smell. The rooms are standard and the parking lot is free. At first we thought we had the wrong directions as the hotel is somewhat isolated although it is near some business parks.

The room could use some updating but the staff was pleasant. Unfortunately, the housekeeping staff must have gotten a late start so the rooms weren't available and it was late afternoon. We and at least 15 others were waiting in the lobby, then the bar, then back in the lobby, for almost an hour. The front desk staff was professional and polite but this wasn't up to my expectations for a Hilton property. At a minimum guests should have been given free bottles of water or complementary drinks as this was an inconvenience for many who were coming in to attend a number of different local area weddings.
I don't think I would return.

Thank you for providing your comments.

Like you, we are proud of our location that affords guests unique views of the river while being close to Downtown Milwaukee and Glendale's Bayshore Town Center Mall, as well as the recent upgrades that we have done to the property that included new carpeting and wallpaper.

Reading that you detected a smoky/mildew smell is a bit odd, especially as we are a non-smoking facility that just installed new carpeting.

We do apologize for any delays in check-in that you experienced. From your comments, it occurred during a busy summer Saturday. Not knowing your exact check-in time, I can only surmise that it was a combination of late check-out and early check-in requests, as we have been fully-staffed in our Housekeeping Department for quite some time.

Naturally, there is a time gap needed between a room check-out and the next guest being checked-in to make sure that the room has been cleaned and restocked properly. And if we are in a sold-out situation, as both Summerfest Saturdays were this past year, our ability to either switch rooms or check guests into another room type is not available. Our Front Desk typically directs guests to our lower lobby, to our restaurant/lounge, or to our outdoor patio pending the guestroom being available.

We do hope that understand these dynamics, and look forward to welcoming you back for a future Milwaukee-area trip!
