What a delightful place to spend an hour. The mansion is incredible and an excellent representation of a Victorian era mansion. Definitely worth a visit. The tours are guided and last about an hour. The items in the gift shop are very reasonable priced and very nice quality. In addition, we gained a number of insights to Pabst the man and what a generous person he was.

Built in 1890 by Captain Pabst and his wife (brewing magnate), this home is being restored and is lovely. Our guide Dan (Dave? Sorry!!) obviously loves the history of the Pabst Mansion and made the tour entertaining and interesting. Lots of walking and standing but full of information and very informative. We all agreed that we could've listened to him for longer! Lovely and worth the time. Would consider going back for the behind the scenes tour. --Our hotel had cards which gave us $2 off the admission price so you might look for that.

We toured the mansion in late November 2013, while the mansion was decorated for Xmas. It has clearly been well maintained and the docents are very familiar with its history. There's absolutely no reason not to take the tour, but I'd not recommend trying to spend more than an hour or so here, there's really not all that much to see once you've done the initial walk through. Parking onsite is free, and I think we paid close to $20 pp- check the website for current pricing.
