We attended for a graduation dinner. The service was impeccable, decor was elegant, food was great, and the wine list was extensive. Can't say enough about what a fine experience we had.

My wife and I had a wonderful Anniversary dinner, from start to finish. Bacchus is classy and tasty. The wait staff is well trained, however they tend to hover. Two waiters per table is somewhat bothersome. Dessert was out of this world. Lava cake!! I would go back for more.

Great risotto balls. Terrific halibut.

Things I don't like, besides over chatty waiters:

The menu doesn't seem to change much. Usually go once or twice a year, and it looks familiar.

Nothing really cutting edge or adventurous. REALLY well done food, but with a yesterday feeling in terms of pairings, flavor combinations, etc. A bit too classical.
Portion Sizes can small. Some plates are better than others.

You will enjoy this place.

This is an expensive fine dining restaurant in a nice waterfront location. However only the conservatory part has a lake view. Service was outstanding, food was good. Meat at medium both my husbands steak and my lamb was more like medium rare to rare. Portions are on the small side which we like but probably lacking for heartier appetites. Would go again but will get a conservatory table.

Our son and his fiance' are getting married in August and they have booked the entire restaurant for their wedding. We had the opportunity to visit Milwaukee with the kids and enjoy an incredible dinner (I had the tuna which was prepared perfectly). The food & service were fantastic. We were able to tour the complete facility, which included outdoor facilities. We had a drink in the bar were the service was equally impressive. Our son is the executive chef in a very popular restaurant in Chicago and fiance' is restaurant manager. We are really excited to return for the wedding/reception!

On a recent trip to Milwaukee we had dinner at this upscale, fine dining establishment run by the Bartolotta group. The ambience is modern but welcoming and warm. The service is professional and friendly. The food is what makes this place a hit. Everything we had was delicious. I don't believe there is something for everyone on the menu. The prices are on the high side but the experience is well worth it. We will be going back.
