I will defiently come back to this hotel. Super cute, very comfortable, beautiful bathroom and beautiful bedroom. People complain about the noise but it wasn't that bad, i didn't really hear anything. I stayed in room 1 and by 9pm it was super quiet, the only noise i could hear was my upstairs neighbor when he coughed.

I have no bad points about this hotel. I will be back :)

My husband and I needed a quiet weekend getaway. MIneral Point and the Brewery Creek Inn were perfect. The historical building is a great introduction to this Cornish-settled community. The rooms are wonderfully decorated. (The bed sheets are as soft as butter). The food is excellent, and the beer (brewed on the premises) is very good. We came off-peak so many of the artist galleries were closed, but we still enjoyed our walks and the local architecture.

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend. We stay at the inn in room 7. Very clean with a great atmosphere. We ate at the pub for supper...EXCELLENT FOOD! The continental breakfast in the morning had some great homemade options. We loved it all!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Miner's Cottage last weekend for a little romantic getaway from the Chicago area. It exceeded all of our expectations and I hope to return very soon.
This cottage was built in 1836, but despite its rustic exterior, the interior was quite accomodating and was like a home away from home. The price was also pretty reasonable considering its your own cute private residence just steps from downtown - you can walk everywhere. The owners provided us a small basket of breads and fruit that we used in our breakfast the next morning. We picked up some great local cheese and bacon/eggs from the corner market and cooked in our kitchen the next day. I LOVED the winged back chairs and fireplaces and Ipod connection. My boyfriend enjoyed the TV in the living area, while I read books in the sitting room. The whole place was kitschy, cute, and immaculately clean - even the fridge that held our delicious New Glarus beer. The bedding was super comfortable and the decor was perfect. It was just ADORABLE and we loved every minute of it. My only regret was staying only one night, not bringing more food to cook, and coming on a day when the restaurant was closed. I would recommend visiting the New Glarus Brewery and Taleisin East (did this too) while in the area, but STAY HERE!
WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We were looking to get away for a long week end and read about this town on Trip advisor. What a great old town..cool shops and a great artist feel with many old stone buildings. The Inn is a great restoration with tons of attention to details. We ate downstairs and had a good meal at the bar. The hostess showed us to our room and gave us a ton of history and info. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We were in room 5 and will come back again in winter to use the fireplace . Only downside is that it's on a main road and with the windows open on a beautiful fall night it was a little loud but not enough to stop us from coming back.

My husband and I have now stayed at Springside #1 twice, once for 10 days and now, in late August, for 6 days. The fact that we returned to this same cottage is revealing: it is lovely and functional. The cottage itself is over 150 years old and the decor has been kept simple and tasteful to reflect the ambiance of place. Springside has two "units", side by side within the cottage but we never heard the other people next to us. The "sitting room" has a day bed which is great for lounging and reading a book during a sleepy afternoon. The kitchen has a large table where we spent a lot of our time looking at our laptops (believe it or not) -- wifi connectivity. We ate most of our meals at 'home' since there is a gas stove and adequate pots and pans. (However, don't miss trying the authentic Japanese restaurant in town, Kusaka: it is wonderful.) The bathroom has an excellent shower, bathtub etc...lots of big towels. There is housekeeping provided, as much or as little as one wants. The bedroom is large with a wardrobe and a dresser, plus shelves for storage. And, the bed has a marvelous mattress -- as good as ours at home (which we went to a lot of trouble finding the perfect one for us).

The weather was hot the entire time we were in Mineral Point. We bought Spotted Cow beer (only available in WI) and in the late afternoon and early evenings we sat out on the back patio enjoying the sounds of the cicadas and frogs whilst drinking our lovely cold beer.

If you enjoy drives in the countryside (and have a sporty beautiful vehicle that takes the curves and hills with aplomb--like ours) then you will find the driftless area of WI a delight to drive and beautiful to view; start out in any direction.

We have loved our stays here and highly recommend Springside #1 to you.

The Springside Cottage owned by Brewery Creek Inn was a pleasant surprise. It is on a quiet side street in Mineral Point, not too far from the Pendarvis historic site and within walking distance of the main street, which is called High Street. We checked in at the Brewery Creek Inn itself, where we received our key and a basket of breads and fruits for our breakfast. Inside the cottage, the small refrigerator was stocked with juices and sodas; a good supply of decaf and regular coffee and tea were also supplied in the cottage.

The air-conditioned cottage is decorated with attractive and comfortable antiques. It is essentially a hotel room, which is cleaned and refreshed daily. There are four rooms: living area, kitchen, full bathroom, and bedroom. The kitchen is appointed with plates, silverware, mugs, glasses, pots and pans. A hair dryer is supplied.

We used Mineral Point as a base when visiting the American Players Theatre in Spring Green. It's a bit too far of a drive to the theatre, but I would stay here again if I were to bike the excellent trails in the area.
