“No problems here.”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

A group of us stayed here before and after a wedding ceremony in Plymouth. We were allowed early access to our rooms, well before check in time. There were no problems encountered by any of the 26 people in our group. We may have been a bit hung over in the AM, but the coffee was sufficient to get the cobwebs out of out heads, so we could resume another day of family festivities
The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, the furniture clean and comfy, the bathrooms roomy and clean, the hot water plentiful---what more could you ask for? The prices were very reasonable, as this was also a race weekend, and the hotel was booked solid.
All in all, we had a nice time, and I wouldn't hesitate to book the Plymouth Inn, again in the future.

Room Tip: Higher rooms might be a bit quieter.

Where do I start? We stayed here two years ago and didn't have a pleasant experience. We thought we'd give it one more try. Big mistake!
1) No front desk attendant. Had to go find her, which took a while.
2) Sink drained so slowly it was difficult to use.
3) Toilet was clogged, and couldn't be flushed. Told the maid who said it would be fixed before we returned. When we returned twelve hours later, it was still clogged. Found the desk attendant who swore it had been fixed. Told her to look for herself. In a huff she went and got a plunger, unclogged the toilet, then dripped the wet plunger all over the bathroom floor and room carpet when she was done. Never even acknowledged we were there.
4) Room wasn't very clean and smelled of mildew.
5) There was never anyone at the front desk.
6) The baggage cart was a flat platform with no uprights to hang clothes on. It wasn't a baggage cart at all. And it was filthy.
7) Stayed two nights and there was coffee available only once, and it was undrinkable.
8) The so-called breakfast consisted of three bright green bananas, a couple of apples, and a couple of mini donuts that looked to be several days old. In other words, nothing to eat.
9) The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything the people in the adjacent room were saying, and they were speaking softly.
10) the TV would not work for more than a few minutes at a time, and they refused to do anything about it.
11) The Wi-Fi never worked at all.
12) The refrigerator hummed loudly all night long, and was very hot to the touch.
13) The staff (two people over three days) were aloof, unfriendly, and acted like the guests were nothing more than a bother.
14) The room was $140.00 per night with taxes (it was a race weekend). For that we got the worst, dirtiest, smelliest room we have ever had. This should be a "by the hour" hooker hotel. We had just stayed at a Motel 6 that was absolutely spotless and only paid $64.51 per night, with taxes.

Now I understand why you can't book on line. They know they're a disaster and a ripoff and don't want guests posting reviews on their site. The programs at Road America listed all of the hotels within 15 miles or so. This dump wasn't listed anywhere. That says a lot.

DO NOT stay here. There are several good hotels a few miles away in Sheboygan/Sheboygan Falls, with lower rates, that actually appreciate guests. You've been warned!

I created an account just to warn you NOT to make a reservation here. Whole place had a musty, smoky smell. Our sheets had obviously not been changed, filled with a large amount of hair, random dirt, and blood stains. Tried to ask the front desk for new sheets but no one was there. We knew this might not be a great place to stay, but we brought our bags back to the car and left.

I wasn't going to review this place because I think the existing reviews, with the exception of the single 5 star rating, do this place justice because what is said is all too true. And I knew going in that this was probably not going to be a positive experience as I read the reviews before booking, but was hoping it would exceed my already low expectations. I chose to stay here anyway to be with a group of family and friends all staying in the hotel who were celebrating a birthday. Upon arrival things started happening that compelled me to write a review. We arrived right at check in time, 3:00 p.m.. There was not a single staff person in the hotel. There was a well worn printed sign in a plastic sleeve sitting on the desk stating that, "Due to an emergency..." the staff had to leave but would be back in about 15 minutes. We waited a little over 20 minutes then called the number on the sign which instructed you to call if you had an emergency or needed help. The owner answered his cell phone and responded that he was on his way back to the hotel. Several minutes later he pulled up and parked sideways right in front of the front door, almost completely blocking it. Once inside he told us that "We do not get mail delivery here so we have to go to Post Office for pick-up." Yes, this was his "emergency", right at check-in time! I have a number of huge problems with this behavior. First, I don't like to be lied to, second, I don't like such a poor, blow-off attitude, and, since one person in my party is wheelchair bound I was furious that this owner would leave his property unattended and expose any disabled or elderly guests to risk of injury or death as a result of needing assistance and not being able to get any. If this isn't illegal it should be. Then that wheelchair bound person arrived and I asked the owner if he would please move his car so she could get in. He would not, claiming that she "had enough room", which made it difficult for her to get into the hotel. I think this episode says it all, without having to support such a negative review with the all too many other indications of poor or non existent care, service, and neglected property maintenance issues like broken or non existent furnishings or amenities, heavily stained and worn carpeting, dirty upholstered seating surfaces, etc., etc., etc. Fortunately the employee staff were more pleasant to deal with when other problems arose, but just did not have the resources to deal with or resolve issues like broken alarm clock radios, etc. It is blatantly dishonest to claim that any sort of breakfast is served there. You'll get fresh coffee if you ask for it, individual pieces of bread in baggies handed out upon demand, a few stale donuts on the counter, maybe a dry english muffin that got run over by a truck, and you might find a packet of instant oatmeal. Get arrested the night before because you'll probably get a better breakfast in the Plymouth City Jail. In-your-face cheap, cheap, cheap! Here is a property that is growing more tired and neglected by the day which the owner is just milking it for what he can get out of it now instead of making the long-term commitment and investment to provide his guests a decent lodging experience. I cannot recommend this hotel and hope I never have to stay there again.

This hotel is filthy. Our sheets were never changed from the previous occupants and were soiled and stained. We asked 3 times for clean sheets. To no avail. TV, Phone and bathtub drain did not work! The hallways were stained and filthy. Our continental breakfast consisted of donuts from the previous weeks occupants! Housekeeping is non existent. If this is the only hotel available sleep in your car! We were traveling with a group and we all experienced the same.

This Inn is filthy! There were stains on the furniture and carpet. There are no amenities, no coffee in the rooms, no iron or ironing board, and no hair drier. The linens are not changed every day. I had to ask the owner for clean sheets and make the bed myself. He told me that no hotel changes linen every day. The quilt on the bed was dirty. There was no tub, only a shower which allowed water to seep out onto the bathroom floor. The shower mat had mold and mildew on the suction cup side. I wouldn't use it. The mattress was old and saggy. If you read that these rooms are clean, the owner must have paid someone to say it. We paid $233.00 for two nights. Ridiculous!. Don't stay here.

Room Tip: Just don't stay here.
