This place falls between average and poor. Room had a mini-fridge, so that's a plus. Bed comfort was adequate, but definitely needs some new linens, very worn. The lighting was very dim - get new lightbulbs! Bathroom was large and appeared clean, but the carpet in the room could have used a better vacuuming. Carpet in the hallway was worn and stained. Skipped the continental breakfast, brought our own travel coffee-pot. Needs some major updating - and lighting! Staff was friendly and helpful.

You get what you pay for, right? At the Bridgeport Inn, you are paying for a quiet, clean, room and for very little else. The facility is not rundown but the decor is spartan and somewhat dated. Do not expect the amenities you would from even a typical hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Good location and great price for a business trip.

We have stayed at this place a number of times in the past and as usual the staff was very nice and helpful. The price for the night is also a good value. The pool area is always neat and clean, the lobby is very nice, and the rooms are very clean. We have noticed in our last two stays that there is some wear showing. We hope they start to update the place and keep the same friendly atmosphere. Oh, and maybe offer eggs & yogurt for breakfast. Bread, cereal, and waffles is not good for the diet.

We chose this motel because it had free breakfast and free wi fi. The rooms were large but needed a bit of an upgrade to modernise them. There was a fridge in the room but no coffee making facilities. Breakfast was basic with fruit, cereal and a waffle maker. The room rates were higher than we expected but this could be because there isn't a lot of accommodation to choose from in Prairie du Chien. The best part of our stay was visiting the Jones Black Angus Supper Club next door for dinner.

Although we were idiots and stayed across the bridge in Macgregor, Iowa (don't do that!), the manager at Bridgeport was very nice and would have given us a room at a discount if we wanted to move hotels. Bridgeport is right next to a wonderful restaurant, which is how we even found the Bridgeport.

The rate was higher than some of the others in the area but since others were booked (now I know why there was a vacancy here) we decided to spend the money. Every thing about this motel is cheap except for the rate. Very poor quality on everything including kleenex, toilet tissue, mini size soap, paper plates and utensils. We expected a few amenities for $130 like hair rinse, coffee, vending machine, pen and paper and perhaps towels for the pool. None of those were furnished. The room appeared to be clean at first glance but it lacked the detail one would expect for $130. i talked to the manager to express my displeasure and he told me that I could leave if I wished. He didn't even bother to ask me what my complaints were so that he could address them. When I told him that we were not pleased, he just says that we could leave if we wished.

Room Tip: Do not take the speciality room as it is not worth it. Bring snacks as no vending available. Bring h...

Scaled down breakfast : cold cereal and toast and little else. Sparse room amenities. No newspapers in lobby or breakfast room. No coffee makers. Stained carpet and other examples of poor msintensnce. Shutdown one ice machine. Evident that owners are cutting corners to save money.
