Loved this place. Super clean and great service. You must try the flautas! Wish we didn't live so far away so I could eat there more often.

We had lunch here on a Saturday the food is excellent!i had chimichangas (the 4 different fillings) my wife had chalupa and enchilada. They were both great and the portions were large. She had a margarita which she said was the best in a long time!!!

We have watched the evolution of a former frozen custard and sandwich shop to a Mexican eatery in a town not noted for Mexican fare other than Taco Johns and Taco Bell. At times the new exterior paint only covered part of their sign and building but eventually the paint job is finished inside and out. I understand the transformation occurred took two owners. And artwork is everywhere! Whether one calls it gaudy or garish, it certainly gets your attention as every inch of the place including all the chairs, tables and walls are completely covered with vivid, over the top, Mexican artwork which made our first experience difficult to forget without even ordering.

On to the food...the menu is vast and a basket of warm chips were promptly served with a dish and small carafe of salsa while we attempted to narrow down our selections. We opted to order a shrimp burrito and a steak burrito plus a side of guacamole. A huge blended margarita promptly arrived and was quite good. Only one salsa was offered but had a freshly made flavor with a bit of heat without being overpowering.

Apparently the flair for color ran out when they got to the kitchen as our two large burritos were presented on very hot but bland colored plate completely covered with a white cheese sauce and nothing else. Not one touch of any garnish or side to add to the presentation. If we hadn't ordered a side of guacamole, there was nothing to make the meal look very appealing. Fortunately the cheese sauce tasted okay and the shrimp were numerous with good seasoning but the rest of the filling was about as pale as the exterior of the burrito. The steak burrito was nothing special as the meat was overcooked and didn't offer much in the way of flavor. The guacamole was okay but was not enough to make up for the rest of the meal's shortcomings. The total tab before tip came to $30 for the two of us which was high for what we had. We have eaten at many Mexican restaurants and this does not make it very high on the list after visit number one. I'd be wiling to give them another chance but not sure my if I will get my better half to agree. If we do, I will report again.

We used to go here at least once a month. The food quality seemed to go downhill after they remodeled. Our favorite dish used to be beef fajitas for 2. The beef was tough and chewy the last 3 times we ordered it. It used to be tender and juicy. New cook? Needs to marinate the beef in lime juice longer? Cheaper cuts of beef? The wait staff is great; they help each other out and treat you well.
