My wife and I were looking for a quick one-night getaway and found this online. Just 45 minutes from our home on the west side of Minneapolis, the Lodge overlooks the beautiful Kinnickinnic River. It's just two minutes from the heart of River Falls, but you'd never know you were so close as it's very serene and quiet. The main focus is on kayaking and fishing, but we were there in early November and it was too cold for either activity.

Each room has a tv/dvd and gas fireplace. Very clean and comfortable, and Paige was a charming hostess who cooked a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location...comfortable accommodations...helpful staff! Everything fell together for a perfect getaway! It was also a perfectly beautiful fall week, which helped! The kayak venture was relaxing...picturesque...and challenging as well. Got to do it all!

Our visit to Kinni was the second half of a week long trip and everyone thought it was the best part, hands down! We took advantage of everything the lodge had to offer including guided fly fishing, horseback riding and kayaking. Late July is warm weather for fishing but we were still able to catch a few trout in the stream right behind the house. Can't beat it. The teens loved kayaking and swimming in the Kinni (yes, the water is "cool", but even the smallest couldn't resist floating in the stream for hours!). We will be sure to take the 3-hour kayak trip next year. Plans have already been made to return in the spring for fishing AND in the summer for more kayaking . We rented the entire lodge which was VERY clean and VERY comfortable and we made good use of the outdoor grill, fireplaces and hot tub every night! The owner has done an incredible job creating a remote wilderness feel out of an in town location.

We travel the state playing different golf courses and stay in all kinds of places. Some places are OK , but Kinni Creek Lodge was a welcome surprise. You can tell only so much from verbage and pictures, but to be there was a little piece of Heaven. From drinking my morning coffee on the deck, while listening to the birds and watching a family of squirels at play, to snuggling up in a cozy chair with a book from there collection, you find yourself totally relaxed. Paige did a wonderful job providing whatever we needed and although we weren't there to fish or kayak, Kinni Creek being right there would make it ideal for those pursuits as well.

Steps from the river and steps from main street--couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the holiday weekend! Very comfortable and home-like atmosphere plus all the room we needed. We all had a great time--Paige and Gretchen are wonderful hosts and we will definately return to the KinniCreek lodge.
