First impressions are of a very small, well-decorated, clean, and busy restaurant! Wolf pictures and art items contribute to the Northwoods feeling. The interior is bright and cheerful. The exterior has hanging basket of flowers and, in the summer months, lots of people sitting in the sun, waiting for their name to be called for a table. Part of the experience is waiting outside and meeting/chatting with the other folks who are also on vacation, and who know, or have heard, that the wait is entirely worth it! The breakfast menu is much more exciting than the usual "diner" can offer. Our favorites are the World's Best Pancakes, because they are indeed the world's best pancakes! (You haven't had anything like these pancakes!) There are also some interesting choices like perch and eggs, homemade meatload and eggs, and phenomenal omelets. For lunch, the Reuben can't be beat. The owner/chef makes his own corned beef, which is so very lean and good! I can't even describe the homemade pies that Kathy/owner makes every day. Each serving is huge and delicious! The service is friendly and fast. The wait, as I mentioned before, can be long in the summer. If you don't feel like waiting, move on along!, but you'd be missing a fun experience and a terrific meal.

The food is excellent, but go only if you have a lot of time. The place is tiny, so there's always a long wait. Then, if there's only two of you, and a table for four opens up, they will give the table to a group of four that came in after you, and you will be stuck waiting for one of the limited tables for two. Then when you do finally get seated, the place is packed to the gills, and only one table at a time gets their food, so you have another long wait.Personally, I have better things to do when I'm Up North, than dedicate an hour and a half of time for breakfast.

I eat at Wolf Pack quite often and they consistently serve very, very good food. The breakfasts are excellent and this is from someone who isn't much of a breakfast fan. I always get omelets which come with a choice of hash browns or American fries. The omelets are light and fluffy and perfectly cooked and the potatoes are very good as well. My mother always enjoys the variety of pancakes they serve.
On my most recent visit I had the spinach salad with mandarin oranges and oriental dressing and it was fabulous. I've had it in the past with grilled salmon and that was amazing. The salmon was cooked to perfection, moist and juicy but lightly browned. That isn't an option every day however. Their garden salad is huge with a good variety of vegetables on it and is a meal in itself.
Wolf Pack is usually quite busy but still maintains a cozy feel which is something I like about the place over many other restaurants in the area. The service is consistently great as well.

My family and I look forward to the Wolf Pack every year on our Fall Color weekend in the Wisconsin Northwoods. The yumminess of the WolfPack starts with the high quality ingredients and is enhanced by their careful preparation. Try the veggie omelette, and the made-from-scratch hash browns. The atmosphere is pure Northwoods with a touch of whimsy.

Always friendly people working there, and very good food. Pancakes are the best! and if you want to pay extra, you can get the real Maple syrup which I think is a must! I wish more restaurants offered the real Maple syrup. Get there early because it does get crowded sometimes because the food is so good!
