I was here over a day and a half, with meetings right in the inn. It's a very nice place to stay. The tap room is dark with wood and leather, and not a lot of seating except at the bar. I had three meals, breakfast to dinner, and the food was very well prepared. Lunch was a Caesar salad with very fresh lettuce and a great dressing.
The floors are creaky - it is an old place, after all - which gives it a homey feel. All the rooms face Lake Lucerne, and the view is lovely. Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Because of the thick carpets, the place is reasonably quiet. I was happy that the windows could be opened for fresh air. The staff were all friendly, helpful and welcoming. All in all, a fine place to stay, though the $150 per night cost was a bit steep.
