A piece of Sauk Prairie history, this beautiful two story property was constructed in the late 1800's and has been operating as a restaurant, tavern or dance hall since the 1930's. We were both dissatisfied with the lousy salad bar, basic iceberg lettuce, cold dried out garlic bread (which looked like old reused pieces of the bread they give you at the table. Salad dressing (French) was rancid, did not eat the salad it at all. While we were eating we saw them refill the dressings from tubs of new dressing by just adding to the canisters in the salad bar...so who knows how long the dressing has been in there as it looked like they don't replace and refill it. Disgusting to say the least, so skip the dressing on your salad for sure. Gross, now we knew why it was so sour and rancid.
Now to the steaks...ribeye and filet....both overdone, my filet was grey and dry. For an establishment that has been open for decades, we were hoping for a decent steak.
Service was good and wee were seated promptly, although it was already 8pm when we got there. Wish there had been a long wait so we could have left and went somewhere else.
Needless to say, will not return.

It's been a while since I've been to a supper club, but Green Acres surpassed my expectations! The prime rib was very good as was the salad bar. Service is efficient and servers are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They don't have soup on the menu. Definitely the highlight of the day after visiting Wollersheim. Will come back here to eat when in the area and will recommend Green Acres to others.

This is the only restaurant in the Area that is not a café or fast food so every night it is packed. The two best items on the menu are the Friday night Fish Fry and the jumbo Shrimp!
If you go expect to wait at least an hour it is that busy unless you get there at 430 when they open!

I read the other reviews on Tripadvisor before stopping at this restaurant. With all 5 star reviews, you would expect wonderful food. Unfortunately, I can't share the opinion of the other reviewers. I understand this is a supper club, and I take that with a grain of salt, but our entrees were inedible. The salad bar/cheese/bread was fine and what I would expect in a supper club, but my fish came out with the white fat (that comes out when you cook) all over the top and it was lukewarm to boot. My partner's prime rib was like eating shoe leather. The sides (hashbrowns with cheese) were delicious. If you ordered something fried, and weren't trying to eat remotely healthfully - maybe this is a better option.

Its expensive to eat out,, and when you live in a area that you do not have a lot of good restaurants not less you drive to Madison 50 miles away,, You save your mileage and Madison should be driving here to eat,, the staff is trained and professional all the way,, the restaurant is clean friendly inviting, and you want to come back the minute you walk in the door,, the menu is extensive, and the price is more than an excellent value, the food, the salad bar and the drinks are always 100 per cent what you order or better,, The owners are always standing there to clean your table , to seat you, to greet you, to see you have exactly what your paying for , a great dining experience with really good food ,, This is the best place to eat,,,,
