“Charming!!”
Reviewed 18 September 2013

Had a delightful, charming afternoon w/my husband, mom & sister recently. This is a place to meander, explore, wander, take in, experience & thoroughly enjoy - & it's free! (Though donations are gratefully accepted.) Whether you're w/kids or not; are an avid reader or not, Bookworm Gardens is worth the stop!! It's relaxing & is a place to inspire the imagination. Books are available to enjoy while there, too & the various "stations" are recognizable story favorites. This place is a must-see!! I hope we get to share this with our grandkids sometime!!

This summer I went to these gardens 3 times. Once with a small child, and twice with women. I enjoyed each time, because the different reactions from others. It is a very beautiful and relaxing place.

“Great!”

A great place to connect nature to well-liked books for the young.
Some construction going on so some areas were not available. A great free adventure for a family.

“Creative playspace for families!”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

I can't recommend Bookworm Gardens enough for families and even adults who enjoyed reading as children. The juxtaposition of children's literature and impeccable gardens are a delight to the eye and the imagination. If you have a creative spirit, or at least have children who do, this is a must see!

“Beautiful place to bring the family, spend some time.”
Reviewed 31 August 2013

My daughter had heard about these gardens and we drove from the Green Bay area for a pleasant afternoon of exploration. With a 4 and 1 year old in tow we had something new to see around every corner. There are book`nooks everywhere that you can open and take out a book and many places to sit in the sun or shade to read, or you don't have to. Many little houses based on children's books that children and adults can step into and imagine themselves as the character in the books, Mr. McGregor's house by his garden, Mr. Sanders house that Winnie the Pooh went to, a Japanese Tea House, a barn and all have related gardens around them. Entrance is free but donations are suggested($5). The gift shop and bathrooms are open on set hours that vary but after they close you can still stay in the gardens until dusk, just please close the gate. Parking in 2 areas not very far from the beginning of the gardens which by the way feature a real school bus( the short ones) and it is made into the Magic School Bus. The gardens offer many events which we plan to make a part of our grandchildren's lives. There is also a picnic patio by the gift shop. Worth the trip, allow at the very least 2-3 hours. Even without a child in tow the gardens are inspirational to all.
