“Fish Fry”
Reviewed 10 November 2011

I looked at reviews about this restaurant for the fish fry and it looked like the place to stop for a good fish fry, the atmosphere in the dining area was outstanding but the fish fry was "terrible". If you like your fish with a lot of greasy breading on it and not much fish inside this is the place for you, next time I will just drive to MJ Stevens north of Hartford,WI along hyw.41 to get the best fish fry in the area.

“Fun, Friendly Bar and Grill with Good Food”
Reviewed 16 October 2011

Sheboygan Falls is a neat little town overshadowed by the better known nearby towns of Kohler & Sheboygan.. The Villager is the type of place you feel comfortable going in, knowing you won't be disappointed with the food or service.. The decor is kind of old world Wisconsin with lots of dark wood all around..
As a lover of good , fresh lake perch, I knew this was a great place to find it & I wasn't disappointed.. My wife tried the ribeye steak, it was done properly & she said was extremely flavorful.. One of the hits of the meal was the lettuce salad with walnuts, cranberries, goat cheese & a light viniagrette

“What a Gem!”
Reviewed 8 October 2011

Stopped for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Arrived right after they opened, at 11 A.M., had the restaurant to ourselves for the first part of our meal. Hubby tried the beer-battered perch (large order) with home-made German potato salad, and cole slaw. It contained at least 4 fish fillets, priced at $12.99 I think. He said the fish was very delicate, and was delicious as was the potato salad. I tried the Nothwoods Turkey Grill; turkey, havarti cheese, onion, apple, cranberry mustard on grilled whole grain bread for $7.95. It was fabulous, along with home-made potato chips. All the ingredients used were fresh, and it was really tasty. The service was attentive. Great place to eat before crossing the street to explore Evans Variety Store, a huge store chock-full of everything you could think of, and then some!
