“our favorite place on our trip!!!!!”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

this place is just top drawer!!!!! i could not possibly say one bad thing about it. we made our reservations about 6 wks. in advance without difficulty as my husband needs a ground floor room and that was no problem with our friends right beside us. the room was lovely in decor, had a comfortable bed, a very nice clean bathroom which was kept spotless(like our room) for 2 nights by the kind, sweet and industrious ladies who clean.
there was a very nice pool conveniently located near our room. there was also a wonderful hot tub in the nicely appointed basement area. we spent lots of time there.
each morning we availed ourselves of the absolutely scrumptious breakfast which was served buffet style and had such a variety to offer and each option was delicious(there were eggs, meat offerings, loads of fruit, special daily breads) this was included in our room price. after we were seated there was a waitstaff to bring beverages - sandy was our waitress and she was just perfect!!!!!
each evening there was a bit of a happy hour food served - some really nice hors d'oeuvres offerings. there was an honor bar for all to use. the lobby was just charming. the help people behind the desk were so accommodating - they even got my husband a massage for the second afternoon - he proclaimed it delightful.
we were on the first floor and we never heard a peep for our wonderful sleeping.
couldn't really say enough praise about this place. go there!!!!

This inn was such an unexpected delight! I've traveled in Door County a number of times, but this was the first time I stayed so far north. There were three of us, which is often an awkward number for a bed and breakfast type establishment. Not here! The room was big with both a queen and a full bed. It was beautifully appointed with lovely furniture. The bed frames and linens were modern yet tasteful for the feel of the inn. Each room has a patio/balcony that helps give it a very homey feel. The breakfast was very good. I loved the concept of the "honor bar." Simply take what you want, fill out the card and they add it to your bill. I have to say that the website doesn't really capture what they have going on here, so the stay exceeded my expectations in many ways. I didn't give it 5 stars for little reasons that would have made it even better, For example, they close the hot tub and pool at 9:00. It would have been nice to have a little longer. After all, we were on vacation. Overall however, it was very, very nice!

My friend and I spent two days touring around Door County and Washington Island. Church Hill Inn is a warm, welcoming, homey place to stay. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. There were two small tables, one with bench seats and the other with two wing back chairs. The Inn offers an honor bar which is open 24 hours. If you get anything, you just fill out a slip of paper and put it into a box at the registration desk. Breakfast was very good each morning. We had brought our own wine, but the registration staff told me if we need a wine glass, just to help our self to glasses from the bar. Coffee was available next to the bar until late at night. There was a game/TV room at the end of our wing and a family was playing cards at the table when we returned from dinner. Just like home. I lock us out of the room the first night when I pressed the button on the door knob and we went out the door to the patio. The doors self lock and I hadn't read the instructions to NOT push in the button. The lady at the registration quickly let us back into the room. The Inn does not have a water view, but it is close to town and the cost is very reasonable.

We spent 4 days at the Church Hill Inn this August for our 30th anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The quaint English decorations were inviting and very charming. The staff was very helpful, especially the servers at breakfast. The freshly made breakfast was out of this world (freshly made scones, muffins, bread pudding, egg souffle and freshly cut fruit) !
We also had trouble with the WiFi and we were told by an older gentleman at the front desk to move to a different area but later I received much more helpful information from a woman at the front desk. After this we never had trouble with the WiFi again.
The Inn is walking distance to the shops & restaurants at Sister Bay so we were able to walk into town and not have to worry about parking.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Church Hill Inn. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very charming and immaculate. Very comfortable beds and lot's of pillows. Our room also had two wing back chairs so you did not have to sit on the bed or a hard backed chair to read or relax. This resort is the best place to go if you are looking for a quiet, child free environment. The honor bar was great. The pool very relaxing.
Breakfast was very well done. The sitting rooms at each end of the floors was filled with games, puzzles and books to use. If I had to give a negative comment it would be that the bathrooms were a little small. This resort is close to many restaurants and shopping. We sat on our balcony one evening and watched the sun go down. We will definitely return to this gem of a resort!

Room Tip: You cannot go wrong with any room!

I recently stayed here with my wife and we would definitely call it more of a hotel than a bed and breakfast. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, but the decor could use some updating. We had several problems using the wi-fi while we were there, as did other guests. When we asked at the front desk about it, we were told to re-start our devices (which did not solve the problem) or to go to a part of the inn where it was working. The front desk staff was not very welcoming or friendly but the housekeeping staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfasts were good and the breakfast staff was friendly and prompt. We liked the location and proximity to places in Sister Bay. We thought the pool closed fairly early and one of the days we were there it never even opened. The honor bar had a good variety at reasonable prices. We would definitely recommend checking out the restaurant, Chop, located right behind the inn. Overall, it was a decent place to stay but could use some refining and updating.

This is a very nice hotel in Sister Bay. The lobby area is very inviting. The breakfast is very good. We were in a double queen room. The furnishings were very attractive, the bed was comfortable and it was roomy enough. The bathroom was very small as was the television. There is no coffee service in the room-coffee available at 7:00 in the lobby. We were not able to connect to Wi-Fi on any three of our devices in the two days we were there. The desk clerk says it is intermittent. This hotel seems to be for adults. We did not see children here. What would make this hotel a bit classier is to upgrade the paper products. Bath tissue is the cheapest I have seen anywhere. This was our first visit to Door County so I am not sure how to compare this hotel to others in the area.

Room Tip: There is not an elevator so choose a lower floor if you have a hard time with stairs.
