“Great food worth the wait!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014

Since Al Johnson's is always extremely busy, we had to make the decision of if we wanted to wait an hour to eat or not. Well, we were very happy with our decision to wait! I had the Swedish pancakes and they were amazing. The service was great and we were served our food very quickly after ordering. This place has unique charm and is a "must see" when visiting Door County!

“really a goat, but pleasant surprise.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

We usually avoid touristy places but we were hungry and did want to see the goats so we gave it a shot. We must have hit at the right time as we were seated immediately. The service was very good and the food was excellant. Especially for being a tourist spot. The place is charming and the staff woman dress in Swedish period dress. If your are looking for Swedish "stuff" they have a big gift shop. So overall it was a very nice experience, the kind of place that fits a light summer evening.

“Fun to do once”

Food was good. Neat atmosphere. Restaurant is loud so it can be hard to hear at times. Fun to see goats on the roof. Glad we went but probably won't go back.

“Take a picture of the goat and move on”

don't waste your time or money. This place is for the large family groups. The wait is long, food was not worth the price and the service was slow. Our Swedish pancakes were raw.

“Super fast food and excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2014 via mobile

Al Johnson's was a great restaurant. The menu, a mix of Scandinavian breakfast food and the classic door county fish, had a variety of choices to choose from and excellent service. I would go there again anytime.
