We were very impressed by this hotel. This was the last night's stay on a 5 night vacation and it was definitely the nicest of them all. The rooms were much more spacious - we had a 2 Queen room. The refrigerator actually felt cold. There was even a TV in the bathroom. We have never seen that at a hotel. The pool and hot tub were nice. My 12 year old son enjoyed swimming and there was a slide into the pool that he had fun using. We had supper in the restaurant which had excellent food with decent prices. The continental breakfast had good items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles and a coffee machine w/ french vanilla cappuccino & hot choc as well as the usual cold cereals, bread, etc. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Had a recent trip to Sparta for a military reunion. Not only did the staff live up to all expectations, but the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and had great amenities. Loved the breakfast. What was especially great was the bar at night, so I could have drinks without having to drive. The next morning, I asked the hotel manager for an extra hour beyond checkout so I could take care of some business and he was very accommodating. Good people. I would happily stay here anytime. F

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Friendly service, clean room, a nice variety for breakfast (hot and cold). This was our first time in Sparta. Came to ride our bikes on the trails which are also highly recommended. Plan to come back again next year.

We came to Sparta to ride the Elroy-Sparta bike trail and found this very nice Best Western when planning our trip. Our room was immaculately clean, even with a bag that the remote was in to give you a clean remote each stay. They had a nice continental breakfast with a roomy sitting area off of the lobby. The pool was very nice, although our eyes were burning from too much chlorine in the whirlpool. I would suggest that they have Sparta bike trail souvenirs for sale in the lobby as those were difficult to find and they had souvenirs for other things but not that, they would definitely do well to have those for sale. Sparta itself was a very town, definitely the place to stay again.

The hotel itself is pretty typical of a Best Western. It has a small sports bar in the lobby but the atmosphere was pretty lame. There is also a rather large pool that even the locals pay to use. Rooms were well kept and clean with a refridgerator and microwave. Hotel staff were friendly and accomodating as well, they even let us lock our bikes up in their closet overnight. If you're planning on biking the trails nearby this is a great place as it is only 1.5 miles up the street. The breakfast in the morning was below average with cold scrambled eggs and sausage. Overall it is the best option in the area for the bike trails but wouldn't go out of my way to stay there.

Weekend get-away to catch up with friends. The staff is just terrific! Spacious, well maintained rooms. Incredibly comfortable bed. Flat screen TVs. And of course Brewski's for a bit of relaxation. Breakfast had all the trimmings. We'll be back!!

The Best Western in Sparta, Wisconsin is a fantastic place to stay. We just held our military reunion May 17-18. The kids love the hotel because it has a great pool area, and the TVs in the rooms are considered awesome. For us adults, the service is second to none. The rooms are very well maintained, the bar is well stocked, the service is personal and quick. John, the manager is a great guy, we plan to come back as often as we can. Its like visiting family!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great, they are also very big for the price.
