We stayed at Crown Point for one week in late May 2013 and had an excellent time. The house afforded us plenty of room, and was incredibly well-stocked. We were steps away from the lake, a playscape for our kids, kayaks, fishing, etc. It is a perfect location for our day trips to Madison and other places in the area. More specific feedback:

>> The house had everything we could possibly need - which made staying there easier / less stressful. We are used to renting homes on vacations and are usually responsible for bringing or buying *everything* including toilet paper. This was the opposite experience - from spices to paper products to detergent, sheets, towels, etc.

>> Frank was incredibly responsive, available and helpful. He was there to help with questions, directions, recommendations, etc. His son was awesome too - very friendly and helpful.

>> The grounds are incredibly beautiful and well-kept; perfect for relaxing, grilling, chilling, boating, etc.

Recently stayed in cabin #6, AKA The Boathouse. Just steps from the lake. Lots of windows on the east side throughout, providing beautiful views of the of the lake with breathtaking sunrises. Spacious living and bedrooms, plenty of baths. Cozy deck with a charcoal barbeque off to the side allowed for entertaining guests for the evening. This isn't a hotel, it's a home away from home.
Frank, the owner, was great as well. He offered advice on getting around and great recommendations for dining and grocery. I imagine he knows just where on the lake the fish are biting too.
We will be staying here again next year.

Stayed for 3 days and can't wait to come back. Cheaper than a hotel but much better. Frank was awesome even printing out shortcut directions to our conference. We stayed in house #6 four steps from my bed to the dock!

Wonderful getaway location, close enough to shopping, but still felt like we were "away". Frank could not have been more accommodating. Looking forward to going back for another girls weekend! Ample space and accpmmodations, well stocked kitchen devices. Not the ritz, but not the ritz price either!

Cabin 6 is our new home away from home. The kitchen is so well-equipped that we were able to cook a full family dinner with no problems at all. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are ample, and the living room and dining room are perfect for entertaining or relaxing - with the lake just inches away and huge windows! The house was immaculate, and the owner was attentive, careful and good-natured. This is a charming find, near Madison but not crowded, and near other small towns such as Stoughton, Oregon and McFarland, with lots of interesting small restaurants. We plan to stay here often.

Room Tip: All the cabins have good views. Some are larger than others.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at Crown Point Resort. It is a quick 1.5 hour trip from Chicago (where we came from). The cabin was great. It slept 6 adults and 3 kids comfortably. The lay out was perfect because the main floor housed the common living area, kitchen, a full bathroom and laundry. Then my brother, sister-in-law and 3 kids had the whole upstairs to themselves with a full bathroom. My parents had their own room and my sister and I had our own room on the lowest level. It was like having 2 separate living spaces in one. We were in cabin #6. The view of the lake was breath taking. The place had everything we needed, the only thing we needed to bring were towels. It was very clean and had great wi-fi/ cable. The proprietor, Frank, was amazing. He was always checking in on us and giving us great recommendations for food and entertainment. He had a pontoon boat, kayaks, and bikes to rent, and they were all VERY reasonably priced. He even took us out on his speed boat for tubing and water skiiing. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended. We will definatly be back!
