We had again an awesome experience at "The Lodge!" My husband (Iraq Veteran) and I were invited to a Wounded Warrior Event held at The Lodge, we were treated amazing by all. We can not say enough about the owners Paul and Holly and the whole staff.

Room Tip: All rooms are wonderful

First time stay. Paul, Holly and Wendy had enthusiasm that was contagious, along with all the staff. Room was comfortable and clean with access to a small patio from the room. The waterfront is literally out the front of the hotel and across the road. Nice view. We had a large group of veterans and Paul along with the Charter boat Captains, pro staff anglers made sure we knew where to go and when to be there. I can't say enough thanks for the additional help they provided for some of our folks who were not quite so mobile. And the food. Did not have a meal that was not worth bragging about. Did not here one person say anything negative about the food or the service. Looking forward to another trip next year. Oh, and the fishing was good too!

I have to start off by saying thank you to the owners and staff at this lodge for an amazing experience that i will remember for a lifetime. Check-in was a breeze and our room was more than adequate for our Salmon fishing trip. My quality of sleep was lacking due to the fact that I was so excited to get out fishing I could hardly sleep. The food every day here was absolutely perfect and the staff was very friendly and accomodating to any and all of our needs. I couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who will be going on a fishing trip while in this area.

The service and food were excellent! There were two queen size beds in the room and it was wonderful. The hotel set up our fishing trip and it was great. I would highly recommend this hotel!!! I hope to return next year.

Saw ad for 4th annual Luau made it sound like we would experience a true Polynesian evening That is not what we experienced. The warm lei welcome consisted of the receptionist handing us a Dollar Store lei and pointing us to a door from the desk. Once outside guests attending a wedding had the same lei in the area where the Luau was planned. When I asked again where the Luau was I was rudely told the wedding was in a different area and I could sit anywhere that didn't have a reserved sign. The bartender was rude refusing to wait on on us even though we waited at the bar for 10 minutes. Apparently he is a local and was selective in what order he served customers. WE never did get our drinks. We asked for a refund along with another couple and was refused being informed the food was already prepared for us. I find this interesting as I heard the desk manager offer new guests who were registering that evening the opportunity to attend the Luau for the same price I paid.
There are better places to visit in Door County. I would never recommend this lodge to anyone.

First off, we were happy with the Food and the entertainment that night. The food was Excellent and the luau dancers were spectacular. The disappointment set in when we wanted to change our plans several hours before the event and tried to cancel. They wouldn't let us, stating that they set up the buffet for a certain amt. of people...Get this...there was only 2 of us!! Really?? Not only that, they had a wedding party at the same time as the luau and it was confusing going in. We didn't know where to sit or whether the beer was included, etc. When the food was brought out, the wedding party ate first (and mind you, they started about 45 min late)....It was cold on the patio. They could've had patio warmers (propane gas that most outside establishments in the colder climates have) or offer coffee, blankets, etc....The meal was $40.00 per Adult! I feel the fault lies on whoever was in charge of this.

Room Tip: Ask for extra bedding. And try getting a second floor room because if there are kids upstairs stompi...

First off, we are so happy that the food was excellent and the entertainment spectacular. We're sorry that you were disappointed, however event ticket like dinner theater or concerts can not be canceled that day. Not sure why you and your party was confused on seating since you were seated. The buffet was opened to all to eat at the same time, no one was stopped from going up. I know that the weather upset you and that the rain delay of "15" minutes not 45. But most important dinner started right on time only cocktail hour was shortened . The meal and show was $40.00 per person however we believe for excellent and spectacular it was worth it.
