Ideally located in lovely downtown Sturgeon Bay, Door County. This Resort as everything for everyone. Great indoor & outdoor swimming pool. Lots of games & movies for the kids. Indoor Ball Park located to the indoor swimming pool gave hours of fun for my 5 year old. The rooms are like condo's inside. Only one downfall for this location is that there is no breakfast provided. Cost is a bit on the high side but it's worth it for everything that you need. Hundreds of shops and great places to eat. Views of the bay are amazing. Most rooms come with a zacuzzi.

We have stayed when it was new and for years later. On this stay we walked in without a reservation. It was a Monday in October. The gal working the front desk was not enthusiastic or overly welcoming. We had three adults. The price, $189 plus tax. This resort does not command this type of rate. The rooms are in need of an update. Our suite did have a new flat screen in the living room area. The previous review from "lovingthesun", minnesota, had a problem with the smell in her suite. I just looked at my receipt and we did stay in the same room, #107. I did not detect an odor but she is right about the view, nothing special. We have tried other resorts in the area. The only one we have found that is nicer is Wavepointe. It is quite a bit further out of town, a little less expensive and the rooms are quite a bit nicer. It is definitely the location that helps Bridgeport Resort.

My spouse and I wanted to get a way for the weekend and we found Bridgeport! The staff was very friendly and helpful at check in. We were given a badger suite with a water view. Very wonderful! Loved the privacy of having a whirlpool tub in the room. Also loved the flat screen t.v. in the living room with the fireplace. Very romantic! We couldn't have asked for a better getaway!! We will be making this our only stay in door county!

Title: TOPS: BEST OF BEST

NOTE i WROTE A PRIOR REVIEW WHERE I TRANSPOSED "1" WORST WHEN I MEANT "5" BEST. SORRY. Been a fussy business traveler for 40 years, take my word for it, YOU WILL LIKE THIS PLACE

Simply put, these guys know what business they are in. One senses they really listen to the customer not like 90% of the morons running hotels. We have been here three or four times, SURE THING FOR SATISFACTION.

OK, one suggestion I wouldn't mind a modest breakfast bar but it would cost fortune to feed those families. Still i would pay more for the convenience not hot, but cereal, fruit, bagels, etc.

We had a great experience at the Bridgeport Resort. I was staying there with immediate family as well as large numbers of extended family for a reunion. The rooms were very pleasant; comfortable and homey suites. Good bathrooms and showers, although the stall in the second bedroom was a bit small. Nice, functional balconies. We noticed no noise carrying into the room at all. We barely used the kitchen but it was fully outfitted. We could have cooked a multi course family meal if we wanted.
Really fun pools including a zero-depth-entry spray pool that my eleven month old loved and a gigantic hot tub.

From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. The clerks were very friendly throughout our stay and helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to do.

The room was great! Beautiful view, comfortable beds, fabulous whirlpool. My goys loved both pools. We took a walk along the water each night. There's a small beach close to the hotel that looked like it had things to do (rent perhaps?) like paddleboats, kayaks etc. We were too usy during the day to check it out.

I think someone in an earlier review stated something about a good breakfast, but they don't serve breakfast. The room has a kitchen and there are restaurants close by, so there's no need for the hotel to serve breakfast.

All in all, we had a great time at Bridgeport.

My husband and I came with another couple for an adventerous stay. We stayed in a Westchester, two bedroom with an amazing view of the Bay. The room was more than what we hoped for! The room was spacious enough to give us privacy, and visit with the other couple at the same time, it was very accommodating. We stayed for a number of days, so we had plenty of time to check out sites around Door County. The days were long so it was nice to come back to such an amazing room and friendly staff!
