We enjoy this as our "Just the Two of Us Night Out" Enjoy wine and/or cocktail/beer unique menu choices and dessert to die for. We have been coming to Burnstad's for over 25 years and family and friends always enjoy the special night at Burnstad's. Great Lunch menu also.Good location for business meetings with private room available and separate pub area.

I had the daily special, a slice of pork loin with nicely firm mixed vegetables and the restaurant's tasty mix of various grains, for about $9. My husband had the fish and chips, which featured the same mixed vegetables, good fries, and one not very large fish fillet for a couple dollars more. The menu has quite a few selections and there were a couple of decent beers on tap.
The restaurant is part of a big connected complex that includes the Burnstad market (a very large grocery store), a gift shop, and what looked like a nice clothing store.

I stopped in here on a business trip for a quick dinner and ate in the bar. The server was very friendly and recommended the cream of wild rice soup (which was delicious - perfect for the subzero weather). I ordered a bacon cheddar barbecue burger, which was also very good - crispy bacon and very sharp cheddar cheese. The best part of the meal, however, was the Door County Cherry pie - an absolute classic. The bill was quite reasonable - soup, dinner, and dessert for under $20!

Three of us shared the Octoberfest platter for two, plenty of food. We were served bread basket and butter with platter. Soup was chicken spatzel, it was a bit on salty side. Salad was usual, meh. October platter was chuck full of kraut, mashed taters, spatzel salad, German potato salad, Pork, snitzel, knockwurst etc. The food was okay, not the best nor the wurst (sorry, had to).
