“A great place to hold our 60th Wedding Anniversary.”
Reviewed 2 August 2013

We invited 24 members of our family (4 generations) to attend our 60th Wedding Anniversary celebration. Everyone enjoyed the beach, canoeing, the eagles, the campfires, the fish boil, catching and releasing the frogs, and hiking. Rented a boat and motor and caught smallmouth bass and northern. The rec room is great for a family gathering. We spent our time there eating, playing a special 'anniversary' bingo, and socializing. A big 'thumbs up' to the Hiplers for having all of us.

This resort has been in the same family for 75 years. The cabins are rustic however clean and almost all of them are on the water. The resort is currently being ran by the grandson of the original family that began the resort. I have reservations again this summer, we go every year for a week. They are in the process of updating many of the cottages with many new things. The staff and management are very friendly and will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is enjoyable. They have also opened up the resort lounge for guests to enjoy. If you want an enjoyable stay, give Duck Point a try. I am almost certain you won't regret it.

Location of the resort is great for the Tomahawk Fall Ride bike rally. This was the only available cabin. I think some of the other cabins might be quite nice but this one was way too
dated. The water was rusty but cleared up after we ran some each day. Bed covers were very
poor and haggard. Linens were clean tho. Smelled a little musty but the cabin is very very old.
Linoleum floors were badly worn, furniture dated and haggard. No microwave. View was nice tho. I think someday when they finish remodeling the cabins it'll be a nice resort but for now. It might be o.k. for fishermen who just want a place to sleep. Rate was $117 nightly (and will increase if they add carpeting and air-conditioning) with a 3 night minimum. You may want to look at the cabin before you rent it.

Room Tip: If you can, visit the resort and look at the cabins so you can select one that is right for you so...

We stay here every year for a family reunion of sorts. We love the idea that we each get our own rooms and have a kitchen. Every cabin gets its own boat landing and the fishing is great. This year we caught a 20” and a 21” musky and a 22” pike in the bay along with numerous pan fish. The cabins aren’t “Aspen” like, but are clean and roomy and you don’t have to worry about sand getting everywhere. Great place to stay with children and pets.
