Trip was for business. We arrived around 6pm and were greeted with a friendly and helpful staff at reception. We requested a room w/king bed and they gave us upgrade because we were business travelers. Our rooms were a very pleasant surprise with a large room with king bed, sofa, nice size desk for working, a HD TV, small refrigerator. Bathroom was huge, complete w/shower, very large hot tub that could accommodate 2 adults, and TV in bathroom. The style of the room was reminiscent of some of the older, luxury hotels which I found very enjoyable and relaxing. . A free continental breakfast was available, near the pool area, which was typical and unremarkable. Would recommend this hotel for any business travelers.

Room Tip: If you are a business traveler, ask for a business upgrade if it is available.

Location is distant from other activities. If you want to go anywhere and don't have a car, you have to get a cab and it is almost $30.00 just to get picked up!!!

The facility is quite dated and needs some cosmetic improvements. Staff is kind and helpful, but not all of the back of house banquet staff. Set-up guys took their time, even when told of deadlines they had to meet. Food choices, whether for a conference or at the bar were not that fresh tasting and seemed institutional. The spa tubs in the rooms and bath toiletries were FABU! Best I have had in over 20 visits around the country! Can't pass up the flat screen in the bathroom - plush!

The hotel rooms are laid out a little odd and also have dated decor, but are quiet for sleeping.

The conference facilities are dark with extremely dated decor and laid out oddly. Plenty of parking and right off the main highway. Has it's pluses, but many minuses. Don't discount this place, because the room rates can be awesome. Did not visit the water park - so I can't review that at this time.

Needs many updates - has potential.

Room Tip: Get a room in the back of the hotel for the quiet. It is a long, long hike to the front and bar/restaurants, but a good night sleep may be worth it.

We stayed here during the state fair, and it was crowded in the water park on the first day we stayed, Friday, because there was so many schools there, and it took forever to wait in line for one of the tube rides. Not too far from the State Fairgrounds, so that's nice. The next day wasn't crowded at all. The water park is fun for kids of all ages. The tube rides keep you occupied for a long time, and the lifeguards were all really nice. Good price for all you get with it, and being State Fair week. The room was nice, and not too far from the water park and the pool. Very clean, too.

We've stayed for the last two years at this hotel for a basketball tournament. It's convenient to the tournament. The rooms are very outdated. There's bubbling wallpaper on the window walls - due to water damage? Not sure. I always turn the bedspreads all the way to the foot of the bed to make them unusable. When I did this visit, there was some foreign substance (blood, chocolate, etc.) on the underside of the spread. I've not stayed in the Executive House rooms. Maybe they are updated and a little nicer, which probably equates to more money. The water park is fun, but with 14 year-olds, the fun doesn't last long. Nice staff.

Room Tip: Maybe the rooms in the Executive House would be worth the extra expense.

My husband, daughters (11, 9, 5) and I stayed at Country Springs for one night and wish we could stay longer! The staff was wonderful, facilities were clean and the waterpark and pool were great. The rooms were a little small, but clean. The best part for us was the staff. We will go back for sure!
