“Warm, cozy and great breakfast”

This converted farmhouse, the ancestral home of the owner, is a fine launching pad for biking Elroy-Sparta, canoeing the Kickapoo, or exploring Amish stores. It is close to the road, but was quiet anyway, nestled in a beautiful valley, gardens all around. Our room was very comfortable, many nice touches with clean, new finishes. Anita thinks of everything. Breakfast was several courses, including fresh picked warm apple compote, raspberry and cream cheese stuffed baguette French toast, home grown potatoes and tomatoes. All were delicious. I sheepishly asked if there was anything gluten free, and was treated to GF pancakes. The rate is quite reasonable, half of some area resorts.

We were welcomed like family; what am unusual way of doing things these days!

We were blown away by Anita's and Dave's readiness to provide whatever support we needed or wanted. We were there to bicycle the Elroy to Sparta Trail. They were ready to shuttle us to any point on the trail and then to pick is up at any other point on the trail. The trail is 32 miles long which makes that a pretty substantial offer!

Her breakfast would rival any five-star hotel.

The rooms are impeccable and very tastefully done with much of the furniture locally Amish made and beautifully made I might add.

We look forwArd to a good excuse to return to their bed an breakfast.

Just got back from a second girls' weekend at Amil's and I can hardly wait to go back. Anita was a delightful and entertaining hostess. We savored her lush garden, cozy porch, immaculate rooms and wonderful cooking after 40 miles on the bike trail. Thank you, Anita and Dave!

We love to stay at Bed and Breakfasts. Have never had a bad experience - this was one of the nicest we have ever stayed at. Anita was a sweetheart and a wonderful hostess. Very helpful with setting up reservations for dinner and canoeing. The room was so nice. Comfortable bed and great bathroom. Impeccably clean. She even e-mailed me with the name of the roses growing out front because I was interested in them! Great breakfast, much of it grown right there. Our only regret was that we didn't get to meet Dave, who was running in the 1/2 marathon that day in Elroy. Hope you did great Dave! Kathy and Terry from Appleton, WI

My wife and I stayed at Amil's B&B in july. Our hosts were gracious, the food excellent and the location was perfect for a weekend biking on the Elroy/Sparta trail. Anita and David made us feel very welcome. Our room on the first floor was comfortable, clean and well appointed.

Amil's provides a great B&B experience. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was great, including vegetables from the garden and amazing scones. And the hospitality really is fantastic. My visit really couldn't have been nicer.

My husband and I recently stayed at Amil's B&B for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. We spent most of our time biking the Elroy/Sparta trail (the B&B is very conveniently located half-way in between so we went south on the trail one day and north the next day). Anita greeted us and gave us a tour of the B&B and even pointed out an area we could have a campfire at night and encouraged us to stroll through her beautiful gardens. She also provided us with restaurant recommendations/menus and bike passes for the trail.

In the morning Dave and Anita prepared us a wonderful breakfast including fresh fruits and vegetables right from their garden. They pay such close attention to detail and even made frozen cranberry ice cubes so the cran-raspberry juice doesn't get watered down! After a hearty breakfast to kick off a day of riding they even filled up or water bottles and packs with ice water so we'd be set for the trip. Our second day before checking out Anita gave us some grapes to take with us as a snack on the trail (much needed after biking in 85 degree heat!) It's the little things they do for their guests in addition to a very clean and comfortable room that makes this place so great. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: We stayed in the the "In the beginning" room - which has a whirl pool tub!
