We started going to Chula Vista since 2007 and since then we go there once a year.me and my boyfriend (now husband).made it a tradition to go there once a year to escape the hectic and busy schedule here in Chicago. We always avail their promotion which is a good deal for 199 for 2 nights ,meal and drinks included, can't go wrong with that.later on we decided to be a club member which give us good deal and more discount.

Room Tip: Recommend the condo unit for a family or large group. For couples try to get room closer to the cond...

Upon our recent stay at Chula Vista we were overwhelmed with all the help and support from Staff. Room was clean/neat. Water Park- excellent variety of age appropriate rides.(Suggest bring big towel for self...their towels are the size of hand towels). Room Prices very reasonable. Food a bit pricey, but high quality. Spa treatment reasonable..we opted for water park-lazy river instead. Local businesses close--not that you will need it.

THANKS TO ALL CHULA VISTA STAFF FOR MAKING IT A WONDERFUL VACATION!!! 2nd BEST PLACE WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN 20+ YEARS OF TRAVELLING (2nd only to Pierre Hotel, Manhattan, NY. )

Room Tip: If you are going to the Waterpark try to get condo or Bldg with rooms 4100-4400.

Have stayed here several times and has actually improved over the years. Away from all the congestion along the strip but only a few minutes to get there. Nice after a hectic day to have a quieter setting.

Nice well-kept facilities. Indoor/outdoor water parks are decent but obviously not equal to the big players like Noah's Ark, Mt. Olympus, Kalahari, The Wilderness, etc.

Stayed in a King bed rm. with sofa. Having small frig was useful. Cable had adequate number of channels but you're likely not spending a lot of time there. Rooms are nice but not opulent. Well-kept and maintained. Room keeping was excellent.

Staff very helpful and friendly.

Overall would stay there again.

Room Tip: Lower floors have a balcony which is prefer. Rooms on west side face the river and woods while rooms...

A great experience for family group of 10. The water park may not be as "huge" as the Dells boast, but it was perfect for us! The children were ages 8 months - 5 years. There was lots for them to do. The air was a little cool and the little ones would last a few hours before they needed to get warmed up. We went on a Sunday/Monday in November and had the park to ourselves! Good life guard coverage, though, especially with the park being empty, they got a little over enthusiastic with the whistle. (My daughter got a whistle for sitting at the side of the hot tub with her legs in and holding the baby on her lap while visiting with me. She held the baby up to indicate that she wasn't in the water, and was told to vacate. After talking with a supervisor we were told that the lifeguard couldn't tell if the baby was in or not.)
We had a three bedroom condo and upgraded to a 2:00 checkout. Although that cost $50 more, we reasoned that was still cheaper than eating lunch out and allowed us to go to the water park in the morning for several more hours.
The condo was beautiful and allowed LOTS of room for the 10 of us.
The outside amenities looked very inviting and we commented it would be nice to come back when we could use the outdoor water park, wading pools, wave pool, etc.
The tunnel to the water park was also very appreciated.

Room Tip: We originally had a groupon for a hotel room and had gotten a two bedroom condo. When we got there...

This was our first stay at a resort and I have to say that it was worth every penny. Especially, the massages from Spa Del Sol. My husband and I came to Chula Vista for our honeymoon even after 10 years of marriage and it was very relaxing. We dairy farm so it's hard to get away. The place was crowded but our room was quiet and beautiful. If you walked out onto the patio you had a beautiful look at the Wisconsin River. They even have an underground walkway to the water park which was neat. The breakfast buffet was awesome. The water park was clean and a lot of fun except for the only ride you have. That was jerky and no cushion to break the pain in your butt. Water was colder than expected but it was fun floating around the lazy river and sitting in both Jacuzzi's. The whirlpool tub in the room was very nice! We also enjoyed looking at all the cars for your car show. Thank you for a great weekend getaway and letting us leave our stresses back at home.

Room Tip: For a couples get away go with the southern plantation room. Very romantic and on bottom floor. Can...

Oct 16th & 17th my son went to Chula Vista and brought home the remnants of some wild nighttime feeding frenzies. He was covered in bedbug bites.

I called right away with my suspicions, and told (instead of an apology) that all WI Dells hotels have them. Nice. I was promised an investigation would ensue by trained staff, and I would be notified the next day, or the following morning at the latest.

After an estimate from Orkin Pest Control for $4000 to treat my home one time, $125 Dr visit, and bedbug proof mattress protectors for $180+ per bed x 4, and $47 in anti itch meds...it took me 10 days of repeated calling numerous times daily to get a callback from Emily, one of the managers. She was obviously not that apologetic explaining they did find bedbugs in room 2214, and she tried calling me ONCE, but didn't leave a message. Glad my sleepless nights and fear didn't in any way inhibit her daily routine. Out almost $900 so far. Thanks Chula Vista for the great customer service.

This was our first time at this resort, a last minute plan to have some fun over the Columbus day holiday. Because this was a last minute thing, we had to make a quick decision - had to weigh money, time and fun. From the other resorts that I was looking at, this was the best value!

Our room was nice and clean! We had booked one of the studio condo's. It has a full kitchenette that my wife really loved. She always likes to cook something when we are out and always asks me to see if there is a room with a kitchenette. So, the wife was happy! :)

We arrived late night on 8/11, so, we grabbed a quick bite and went to bed. The next day, we headed to the water park. Because we were in a building away from the water park, the resort provides a shuttle. It arrives within minutes of you calling the front desk - really impressive!

The indoor water park was great!! My 12 year old and my little 6 year old couldn't get enough and had a blast. All the rides are a lot of fun!! The lazy river, on the other hand, sometimes had a lot of people and one wouldn't find a tube if they wanted one.

There are activities for the kids throughout the day. We did not pay too much attention to those except the free tractor ride around the property.

Even though we had checked out on Sunday, we still could access the water park and spent the entire day there. Another thing to point out is that the towels that you get are extremely small. So, if you need a large towel, don't forget to get one from home.
