We stayed in a rental unit for 3 days. We were overcharged by almost $80 the first night, the boat slip we paid to rent had another occupant in it, we had no hot water the entire time, Our cabin didn't lock (maintainance did get the lock fixed) The camp sites were small and driving through the campsite was horrible and very stressful. You have to make your way through a maze of campsites to get in or out of the camp grounds while trying not to run over all the children in the middle of the road or hit the golf carts that do not obey traffic laws. There is only one way in or out of the park and they lock you in at night so you can not do any late night activites or you get locked out of the campgrounds (We had hoped to go see a double feature at the drive in but couldn't or we'd get locked out). They rent golf carts. Children were driving golf carts unsupervised. Adults were driving them intoxicated. There was a kid hit by a golfcart while we were staying there. The people in golfcarts would weave in and out of traffic they would zip behind your vehicle while you were backing out. When we said something at the front desk about not having hot water all weekend we were told that it was our fault we had not had hot water because we didn't keep on their case to fix it after we told them about it the first time. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe the whole time I was there.

I absolutely love this campground. I have been going there several times a year since 2004. The grounds are nice and have trees. the pool is nice and the bathroom and showers are always clean. I like the fact that it is a little secluded from busy higways or the downtown area. The staff have always been really friendly. They have lost quite a few trees from the emerald ash borer but that is in a small area so I just do not reserve those particular sites. In my opinion it is the prettiest campground in Wisconsin Dells. The rest look just like a parking lot with a pool. I am going again next month!! =)

We recently spent 2 nights staying at this campground-resort, located on River Rd. in Wisconsin Dells, WI. The website makes the campground look very nice, as well as the motel rooms that they have. We stayed in one of these motel rooms. The motel rooms are stand alone buildings, which is quite nice, not having to worry about having the TV too loud, or walking around above someone else's room at 1 AM..! The motel rooms themselves are quite nice. We were pleased with them. They come with a good size frig, and a microwave. The bathroom is too small, but the sink is outside of the bathroom. A large shelf is provided for your things, as well as a hanging rack, with a few hangars. The room had 2 queen beds, fairly comfortable. A dresser with 4 drawers and a small table with 2 chairs, and a nightstand round out the room. You also get a small TV. No phones. A/C/heat. Outside you get your own picnic table (with umbrella), fire pit, and 2 white plastic lawn chairs, and a grill. Our grill seemed to be at another motel room..lol, but we weren't there to grill anything, so didn't bother us. Our room was cleaned every day, and they did a decent job. The TV remote did not work, and a light bulb was burned out; we reported these things, but they were not fixed. Everything else did work. Also, the decor was very cute, with related decorations hanging on the walls, and nic nacs on the table/dresser/bathroom area. Ours happen to be decorated with a fishing theme. So, I can recommend the motel rooms. It gives you space to move around outside, and that is what we wanted. The campground is located a good 4 or 5 miles (or so it seems) outside of town, and that is somewhat inconvenient. The grounds were not pretty. This place is mostly seasonal campers, and most of the sites looked tacky. It is a confusing campground to get around in and has lots of hilly terrain. The beach is almost non-existent; the game room small, the BB court small but acceptable. The playgrounds could use some improvements, and the pool was OK. We didn't visit the bathrooms. The store could have used some more merchandise, but overall was pretty good. They seem to have a lot of watersports equipment (boat, canoes, kayaks etc.) for rental, but the prices seemed too high for us. The front desk organization certainly could use some improvements. We were charged too much at the beginning of our stay, which was corrected after I pointed this out a few times, and another person at the desk overheard my comments. The items in the room were never fixed. Upon listening to the desk help do their work as we shopped in the store, there seems to be quite a few complaints; not sure if anything was done to correct these complaints. Overall, I'd recommend the motel rooms, but the campground needs to be kept in better condition and attractive, and hopefully one day they will ask their seasonal campers to clean up a bit and replace some of the very old, worn trailers and many of the poorly built decks that are added on to some of even the finer RV's/trailers.

Large campground but cramed like sardines, no privace. Dirty pools and beach. Don't camp here not worth it. Quiet time hardly enforced. Slet on average a couple hours each night. Thank god for ear plugs. Had to small kids would not have stayed all weekend if it was not for them.
Will gladly answer questions.
