“Good motel for the price”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 via mobile

It's pretty outdated but had everything we needed (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc). It's clean and In a great location, the staff is friendly and the price was about $80 per night. We've stayed there twice and had good experiences both times.

My wife and I stayed at this Bed & Breakfast two weeks ago while visiting from Canada.
Both the customer service and our accommodations were top notch!
The owners are down to earth and show a great deal of attention to the way their place is being run, we loved everything about this place, starting with its perfect location and ending with beautiful interiors & a hearty breakfast.
Thank you for your hospitality, when in Dells, we'll definitely stay with you again!!!

Room Tip: We've stayed at Lily's Room, a very spacious, well appointed room on the 2nd floor. It feat...

My husband and I come to the Dells each year for our anniversary and we try to stay at a different place each time. We may have found the last one with White Rose B&B. We stayed in July at the B&B in the Gardeners Room and it was awesome! The first thing I noticed when we parked was the view. It is right across from the riverwalk and you can sit on the deck of the Gardeners Room and see the river and the boats cruising around. It was a nice place for me to sit and (yes we were on vacation BUT...) work in the mornings over a cup of coffee. It is SO QUIET you forget where you are at times! The room itself was beautiful, it was decorated great and the wood floors and warm colors made for a really cozy room. The bathroom was outstanding - a state of the art shower for two with all kinds of jets. The jacuzzi tub was nice too, however it took a LONG time for maintenance to get it working which was a little frustrating as it dug into our dinner plans a little bit but was totally worth it. The breakfast....meh....we only ate there the first morning (stayed 2 nights). It wasn't very good. The second morning we didn't eat there. If you are interested in bar hopping downtown the location can not be beat. We walked everywhere, took a morning stroll along the river, walked to restaurants/shopping. Location location location. We come with the kids to hit the waterparks, but when we come on our own we are all about the food and drinks! There is some nice green space here also to just sit and relax. The pool area was nice, I sat out there the first day for a long time and there was nobody there - a WELCOME change from the crowded pools on the strip. I dont think the pool is heated so I couldn't swim which was disappointing, but the pool area itself was nice. It is RIGHT on the sidewalk so there were a few times people walking by while I was laying in my bathing suit - a little akward...but no big deal. I would definitely stay here again, it was a nice surprise! DEFINITELY a nice romantic getaway in the Dells.

Room Tip: Lilys Room and Gardeners Room are the only ones (I think) with private balconies. Well worth it.

We stayed in the Sherman House in the Kilbourne Room. While the staff was great the room was not the best. The bed was way too hard. The tub/Jacuzzi was in the same room as the bed. It looked like they took a closet out and put the tub in its place. The shower curtain looked like they took a bed spread and turned it into a shower curtain. The room was very small and dated. We wanted to open the windows and could not....no screens and still had storms on! Yes they had central air but we wanted fresh air. The room was stuffy.
The bathroom needs serious renovation! They had a wooden shelf over the sink and if you wanted to wash your face you hit your head on the shelf. The hot water in the bathroom took about 10 minutes to even get warm.
Your stay included a free breakfast which was very good. My only suggestion is they should serve regular bacon, not turkey bacon. Besides it being turkey bacon it to well done! Tasted like a potato chip.
They have a lovely outdoor seating area and a nice pool. Only wish the pool was heated.
Would I stay there again....only if I had no other option.

The rooms at the motel were ok, fridge, microwave, coffee maker. We stayed for 3 nights, housekeeping leaves something to be desired. Didn't replace any of the coffee or soap, toilet paper. 2nd day we were in room and housekeeping came, told them we would be out in 10 min. We arrived back late at night to find housekeeping never came back, no coffee, 1/2 roll of toilet paper. Was going to say something the next day during check-out but just a group of 3 younger people in the office. Pool was very nice, location was good, right off the main strip. Probably will not stay again only because of the housekeeping, not that good.

Room Tip: ask for a lower motel room, lots of stairs to climb if you have a upper.

Stayed I'm the motel room. Excellent price for the amenities. Room was clean, but needed some TLC. Wife didn't like the occasional ant. Nice clean pool. Breakfast a bit pricey. Staff courteous, nice, and helpful. Will stay again.

We stayed in the motel, which was a bit older in style like the entire space. First off, some travel websites say continental breakfast, this is for the B&B folk only. Luckily, we had a mini fridge and microwave, so we picked up some breakfast food and ate in the room each morning. The beds were too old and not comfortable, and the pillows were flat. At the end of the stay, I went to strip the sheets and found the bedpad worn thin and a few stains on the pillows. When we checked out, I told the owner about the bed, and the only response I got was, "Well, we'll have to fix that. You're the second person today to make that comment." Really? No apology? I also wonder how many before that day have commented on the beds. If we return to the Dells, we might look elsewhere.
