There is something about this place that makes you feel unwelcome. The check in was unfriendly, rules are posted everywhere, a kitchenette is provided with a coffee maker but no coffee or paper towels, and the common area isn't open as of 8am

This is our second time traveling to the Dells with our small kids (4 yrs and 1yr) and Meadowbrook was a great place to stay with them. We stayed at another place previously, but wanted to try something closer to town this time. Their indoor water area was great for our kids. The slides were just the right size and they couldn't get enough of them. They also had a great outdoor pools which included one kiddie pool and one deeper pool. The outdoor kiddie pool also had some small slides and water squirters that my daughters loved. The nightly campfire was one of our favorites because we could show up with our marshmallows without having to worry about buying our own firewood and maintaining our own fire. We stayed in the Acorn Cabin which was connected to the Pinecone Cabin. We were traveling with friends who stayed in the Pinecone Cabin. We had a shared, covered porch which had picnic tables and chairs provided. The Acorn Cabin was one level with one bedroom and the Pinecone Cabin was two levels with the sleeping area on the bottom floor. The bathrooms had showers with actual tubs which is a bonus for people with small kids. The grounds were clean, quiet and very pretty. The best part was that it was just seconds from downtown Dells so we got the peacefulness of a resort without the long drive to the action. I would stay here again for sure!

My family and I have now returned and stayed here a second time as we enjoyed being here last year and could not find a better value. This time we stayed in a cabin. It was extremely clean and the staff was friendly. It is very easy to get downtown or to the other attractions within a short period of time. The only thing I would change is, I wish they would change the packages from year to year and offer different types of packages like a zoo package or a different Lewis and Clark package. Maybe include the Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue or a cheese theme package as we have found many great places that make cheese. Overall a great experience and we can't wait to return next year.

Room Tip: If you want privacy, I would recommend a cabin. Also, if you have more than three in your group you...

My family and I have stayed at this property about five times. The rooms are very spacious and extremely clean. Nestled in the woods just two minutes from downtown, it is convenient to all the attractions but out of the way in a peaceful setting. The grounds have grills for use, a roomy gazebo and some children's toys for play. I love coming home to the resort at night to the smell of the fire burning in the pit. Two pools are outside and a kids activity pool inside. The Meadowbrook Resort offers cabins for rent as well. Great value for your money.

After many searches to find a place to stay in the Wisconsin Dells that would allow us to vacation with another family and have enough space we decided to get two separate cabins at Meadowbrook resort. We had a cabin with a queen bed, a pullout couch, and two twins for our family of four. There was also a dining room and kitchen. We found this to be ample space and were able to prepare many of our meals on site. I was very impressed with the house keeping. Our cabin was always clean, and they always refreshed our towels, made our beds, and took out the trash. We never saw them even though our schedule was varied each day. Our kids, ages seven and nine, really enjoyed the indoor water structure even though it was most likely designed for a younger group of children. They were able to spend hours playing there. They also enjoy the outdoor pool areas and playground, along with the nightly campfire. At the end of our stay we had a small problem in our cabin. The very helpful front desk staff was able to move us to a room in the hotel for the night. This was also a very nice room, and likely where we would stay upon a return visit, as I tend to prefer hotel rooms over cabins. There were two bedrooms and a kitchenette area along with a living room area and bathroom. Another great value was the attraction packages they offered. They were able to accommodate our group with tickets that were quite a bit less than anything we were able to find ourselves either online or using the coupon books.

I really didn't like that it is pet friendly because once you turned the heat on you could smell a dog. I did like the room though it was clean. I liked the fire pit area and my kids liked the indoor pool.

This hotel is spectacular. I generally never stay at a hotel 2x because i like to try new ones. but any time we come back to the dells we will stay here. Its about two mins from downtown, snuggled in the woods. i sat out on the balcony after the kids went to bed and only heard frogs singing. There are two outdoor pools. One is for adults, goes to about 6' the other is only 6'' deep and has fountains and two slides. they are seperated by a fence, so you can relax :) the inside pool goes to 1'8'' and has jets on one side, so more relaxing.. its pretty perfect.. they also have and arcade and a huge playset outside for the kids. There are trails to walk the grounds and nightly campfires!!!! The only 'downside' is that there is only wifi offered in the lobby, but youll be so busy with other activities it doesnt even matter. Also breakfast is not offered here but they do have coffee till noon.. Everyone i came into contact with was very friendly, on the phone, housekeeping and front desk staff...
