We stayed in a 2Br 2Ba cottage for our spring break this year. We have two young children and this worked out great. The cottage itself is not luxurious, but well maintained and perfect for our family. When we called for service on the dishwasher it was promptly repaired with no problems. The resort is nicely situated and a five minute drive to town. Our unit had newer carpet. The furnishings were nice quality and clean. We did not have a DVD player in our unit.

Our cottage (333) was a stones throw from the playground, tennis and basketball court, laundry, and activities building. There was also a pool nearby, but it was closed in April. We were a short walk from the mini golf. The kids had a great time with the ongoing activities program. They did lots of crafts, ice cream socials, and games with the kids. Every afternoon a movie was shown. We enjoyed the mini golf. The tennis and basketball courts are well maintained. A small lake next to the mini golf has a dock where we sat and watched the otters play.

Our kids loved it when we had KFC delivered to our unit.

The indoor pool was a lot of fun for the kids. Both the air and water were nice and warm. The hot tub was outside, but open during the winter season. The pool was over chlorinated to the point that my eyes burned and I didn't go back, but the kids had a nice time. There was a separate area for small children, as small water slide for toddlers and a mid sized water slide for kids under 11. There were teens in the pool playing basketball and they looked like they were having fun.

Our stay was very inexpensive as we went off season. We feel that it was an exceptional value for what we paid. We are not members of Bluegreen, we rented the room from a thrid party.

As for complaints regarding trash removal and linens, It is typical at a weekly rental for users to remove their own trash. The resort did offer more frequent housekeeping for additional cost. Linens could be exchanged at the activity building as needed. Trash and recycling dumpsters were behind the activity building and it was no problem to walk or drive there.

As a first-time skier the bunny hill and Hee Haw slopes were perfect to practice on. The time-share was clean and well maintained and could not beat the low condo & ski rates! Only complaints were the food at the nearby restaurants wasn't good, and sand (not salt) was used on the very icy roads.

Christmas Moutain Valliage is a beautiful resort and the townhouse we stayed in was spacious had everything we wanted, with one exception....
BUGS!

Asiatic Beetles is what I was told by a young lady at the front desk. They look like oversized lady bugs, but unfortunately these beetles arent so friendly and they do bite/sting. I asked what could be done and the front desk said they could come out in the morning and vaccum up as many as they could find, but there was no pesticide that worked on them and it's been a problem for years at the resort!!!

What makes this really stressful is we flew up here from Florida at great expense, rented a SUV and had come with the expectation of our kids having their first white Christmas. Instead of relaxing and being in a festive mood I have everyone screaming at me we never should have come and they want to go home! Needless to say I am not a happy camper.

I am a Blugreen Platinum member and love the resorts and program in general. I just wish someone would have taken the time to warn members that if they did come to CMV they would be dealing with these unwanted guests in their cabins.

My parents have been timeshare “owners” at this resort for several years (since 1985, in fact) and I have firsthand knowledge in terms of the costs, including maintenance fees. What a case of highway robbery, if you will. My mother, having been too ill this past summer to use the timeshare she and my father continue to "fund" offered my family an opportunity to visit this resort, which we accepted and took advantage of this past weekend, beginning Friday, August 22nd, 2008. The first unit we were assigned had an air conditioning unit that was not functional. Upon checking in at approximately 6pm, the temp outside was a balmy 82 degrees-not a comfortable temp to tolerate the absence of air con. I immediately called the front desk for maintenance and was advised that a 15 minute wait was to be expected. However, OVER ONE HOUR LATER, MAINTENANCE HAD YET TO APPEAR. Shortly after my second request a person arrived and after less than 5 minutes determined the issue beyond resort capabilities and a heating/cooling specialist would need to be contacted and "could we wait until the following morning for problem resolution?" After asserting that this was unacceptable, the person advised that he would be in contact with management for alternative arrangements. I personally did not at this point feel at ease with relying on this information and so made a visit to the front desk area of this so-called resort personally and advised management as to what had transpired. After an additional 40 minutes, we were assigned an alternate unit and proceeded to "move" all of our luggage. Although the air conditioning was working in the second unit, the rodent droppings underneath the vanity in the bath, as well as the kitchen sink area, did not heighten my opinion. Not to mention how this organization has essentially 'EXTORTED" thousands of dollars from my parents over their collective years of “ownership” to cover the costs of maintenance that clearly never takes place. This is an company/orginazation/resort that TAKES ADVANTAGE OF INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES. Take my advise…Spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere.... otherwise, YOU WILL FEEL AS THOUGH THE GRINCH THAT STOLE CHRISTMAS PLANNED YOUR VACATION AFTER A STAY AT CHRISTMAS MOUNTAIN VILLAGE IN WISCONSIN DELLS, WI.

My husband and I had the opportunity to use a friend's timeshare for one of the cabins. We both were pleased with the customer service, the beauty of the place and loved the cabin we stayed in. It was beyond what we had expected. We both had a wonderful time enjoying the cabin, the cabin being surrounded by nature and enjoying our 4 days there. We enjoyed just relaxing and being with each other. We went to the pool and hot tub and walked the grounds. It was a wonderful time and wonderful experience for us. Thank you Christmas Mountain.

I stayed in one of the log cabins at Christmas Mountain Village in the Wisconsin Dells for an entire week with my husband, son, his girlfriend, my daughter and my 19-mo old granddaughter. The cabin had one separate bedroom on the ground floor, a loft bedroom with 2 twin beds upstairs (accessible only on a shakey spiral staircase), a queen sofa sleeper , a small bathroom, small living room and tiniest of tny kitchenette. Upon arrival, the cabin itself was fairly clean and orderly but the front deck and chairs were covered in filth. This was a problem with an active baby on the run so we had to pour water all over the outside stuff and clean it. During our stay in this cabin, we found it very aggravating trying to cook or prepare anything in the tight cramped kitchen area, so eventually just gave up. The tiny dishwasher basked into the tiny stove and refrigerator. We also had trouble all week with breakers blowing and plugs not working and also the back door to the unit kept flying open from the wind, as it didn't seal correctly. There was no trash removal or delivery of fresh linens or any housekeeping service all week. We took out our own trash so as not to make the small space stink ike garbage. The resort is covered with towering pines, which greatly hampered cell phone service. Near our cabin was a nice little pool, jacuzzi, laundry and picnic area. The hot tub motor broke on the second day and was never fixed the entire rest of the time we were there. There are other pools on the property that we used as well, but the one by the cabins was the most convenient. At the front desk lodge, the staff were polite and pleasant enough and our check in was easy and smooth. The resort has several restaurants, mini golf, basketball and volleyball courts, tennis, canoes and paddle boats, golf, etc.....so there was plenty to do besides all the attractions the Dells have to offer. During our stay, we got several calls from the resort sales team trying to book us for their timeshare sales tour but we were not interested. My husband decided to leave and go home after one night, as the unit was causing his asthma and allergies to flare up.
I think with 6 of us in that cabin, it was too many and way too crowded. It might be fine for 2 or 3, but I do not think it was suited for a baby. If you go, be prepared to "rough it" a little . I'd give it a try again, but you just have to know how it's going to be going in. Everyone was very friendly and kind to us during our stay.

Enjoyed our 2 bedroom apartment which had good heat since May in Wisconsin is still 30s to high 60s. Older Microwave but it worked well, had to call Maint 2 times but very friendly & prompt. We used timeshare Exchange but can be rented. Near many restaurants & attractions but in wooded area so quiet & natural. We went to the
Circus World Museum & the Upper Dells Boat tour which was excellent. Only 1 warning - our cell phone did not work in the apartment & no internet access except in the main Registration building -their 2 older computers, If you wish to use your own laptop
they allow for 9.95 a day. They have a lot of Familly activiities & indoor pool. It was very nice.
