Christmas Mountain Village
Ranked #33 of 74 Hotels in Wisconsin Dells
Reviewed 18 August 2009

I enjoyed my trip to Christmas Mountain. This resort is about a 5-10 minute drive out of town. It was nice to be able to leave the busy tourist attractions and go to a quiet place. Christmas Mountain had many things to do, including pools, hot tubs, sauna, restaurants, mini golf, paddle boats, canoes, grills.................While some thing were not top of the line (the mini golf), it was also a free activity. We stayed in a two bedroom townhome and loved it. The townhomes were all separated, though out townhome also had a one bedroom unit attached. We did have problems with the Jacuzzi tub but it was fixed very quickly by maintenance. The staff was friendly and it is definitely a place I want to visit again.

My daughter has a bluegreen membership so we came here for a small family reunion. We had a great time, the accomodations were nice, they have many activities to do, and the waitress we had at Mulligan's was very helpful!

Family of three vacationing the week of 7/4 thru 7/11. Check-in was easy and employee's were always friendly and helpful. Stayed in a 2/2 at the bottom of the hill near the golf course. Clean, well stocked with everything you need. Beds were very comfortable. Unit had a outdoor grill and a fireplace. Played golf twice and the course was in great shape. Some fantastic views on the back 9. Close to town the waterparks and even Walmart on the back road as well as all the other attractions but still out in the country. Lots of activities and the grounds are very well maintained. You will need your car to get from place to place with-in the resort and it's quite hilly. If I had to find fault it would be the indoor pool and fitness center. The pool could have been cleaner and the fitness center is very small with older equipment. Outdoor pools were very clean.
I would stay here again but a week in the Dells was even to much time.

Nice place to stay. Pool was a little crowded probably due to the campground being on site but the hot tub was mega size and very nice. To be fair there were other things to do on the property that made up for the pool. Activities center had a lot of things for the kids to participate in, even had a Texas Holdem Tourney for adults (probably was more fun because I did well). Overall a nice location and worth the visit. We took in Noah's Ark and other places while we were there. The Dell's boat trips and all the things to do keep kids interested. We'll go back for sure.

I'm truly amazed everyone says the pools are great at x-mas mountain. Has anyone tried the outdoor hot tubes?
The jets don't work or at most , 20% operating. Furthermore, the water feels like warm bath water instead of what a true hot tub should be.
It seems like they cater more to golfers. And, if you do go golfing, take a long hot indoor shower instead of hitting x-mas mountain hot tubes

After we made reservations at Christmas Mountain I found some negative reviews and had second thoughts about our stay. After returning back from our summer vacation at Christmas Mountain I feel bad that I even second guessed the resort after reading the reviews before our stay. We stayed in a 2 bdrm 1 bath cottage, unit 520 and had a great view of the golf course. The cottage was very clean and relaxing. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We have a 4yr old and a 1 yr old and they had a blast. We look forward to coming back in the future.

My family and I spent the weekend before Christmas at the resort. I am familiar with winter but after traveling here I beg to differ. It snowed all weekend and was extremely cold. Upon our arrival, our car barely make it up the hill to the resort (my husband had to get out and push). After battling the mounds of snowing barrelling down on us we made it to the front office only to get a room at the peak of the hill (more pushing).

Our room was pleasantly nice and cozy. We stayed in a one bedroom townhouse. The kids slept in the let out couch with thier own tv and me and the hubby were in our own queen sized bed in the bedroom. The kitchen was fully stocked; we brought our own food to make breakfast and dinner. There is a Walmart nearby to replenish your goods. For the first night we had hot cocoa and watched tv by the fireplace. The next morning the snow was at our necks but there was a shovel provided to clear off the porch. Workers cleared the sidewalks. I saw a small snow plow go by but like another review they dump sand instead of salt, which didn't help getting up the hill (more pushing). We didn't get a chance to go skiing (it was just too cold for us) but kids enjoyed the indoor pool. We ended up leaving a day early due to another 12 inches of snow approaching. Will go again but better prepared for the weather.
