This hotel was horrible. I felt like the employees were spying on me. The tv was tiny it was the size of a penny. The walls were REALLY thin so you can hear right through them. when the maid service was in the hall you could hear ever word she was saying. It smells musky, and its not so clean. The first day we got here there was a spider on the bed. I tried washing my clothes and the soap was out. Tje pool was not very big, niether was the bath room you have to squeeze into it. It was not very fun i wouldnt rec. it o anyone.

Was doing 2 days at Mt. Olympus, so wanted to stay at a hotel with the Mt. Olympus discount. Checked out TripAdvior reviews on several and this hotel had no bad reviews. Hotel was fairly new and rooms were nice and clean and had a fridge, Didn't use the indoor or outdoor pools but both were about medium size and looked very nice. Both pools had two very small water slides. If you're going to some of the larger water parks or attractions and are looking for a clean place to stay, I'd recommend this hotel.

nice hotel, handicap accessible, but needs a few things fixed

1. you need a 4 legged table, 36 inches high bto roll under

2. you need to make ramp to outside pool. the outside pool is NOT ACCESSIBLE

3.. a push button electric lobby door to enter the hotel alone would be nice

overall, a nice clean hotel, with a great helpful staff

Clean room, King suite was $78 during the week, and had a microwave, fridge and sitting area.

Our 4 year old loved the pool area inside (outside was closed, even though it was 70's outside). Kids older than 7 or so would be bored to tears.

Customer service was terrible. My wife had to ask a half dozen times if they'd be turning the pool area on (all the pumps and slides were off to "save energy") if our son went swimming. First she was told "We turn it on it the pool is in use". We asked does this mean if our son goes in the pool its in. Again "if it's in use, we turn it on". Finally we asked "Does IN USE mean one kid or does there have to be 10 kids. If you aren't turning the pool stuff on we aren't going to stay here!" At that point they promised to turn it all on, even if we were the only ones in there (and they did!)

Nice, except for the arguement about the pool!

We loved staying at the Alakai. Rooms were super clean and very nicely accommodated--refrigerator, microwave, and sitting area. Our 2 year old loved the kiddie pool and slides and it was just the right depth all around. Unlike all huge water parks this was a nice relaxing atmosphere where our family could enjoy private time together. In the morning we could walk to breakfast and Buffalo Phil's and Knuckleheads was just across the way.

We stayed here over the weekend in one of the whirlpool suites and loved it. It was just my girlfriend and I and we both enjoyed the fireplace, in room whirlpool, fringe and microwave. The room was ready on time, clean and neat, up to date, and quiet. The staff was wonderful; the pool and public hot tub was great and also very clean. Overall, it was a great weekend getaway and we will hopefully be back.

What we didn't like... The in-room whirlpool had a very loud pump and while it worked, sounded like a belt was going bad. The ice machine was a journey from one end of the hotel to the other. It looked like the ice machine for our part of the hotel was missing. Price was a little more than what we would have liked to pay but it was very competitive.

Overall we happy and would return and recommend to others!
