Owner description: This is a Horse Drawn Carriage ride through a scenic canyon. Drivers entertain guest with history facts and the lore of the canyon while charming you with their personality and wit. These tours are not scripted and are much more personal and interactive than other similar tours in the ares. The Beauty of the Draft Horses that pull the carriages is only topped by the Majesty of the Canyon itself! This is one of the original attractions that made Wisconsin Dells a major attraction and is still a must see today!

The highlight of the Lost Canyon Tour is definitely the sandstone canyon. Each layer of the sandstone represents 1,000 years, and it is fascinating to look at. The tour guide, Hoss, was friendly and funny and knowledgeable. It is worth the price of admission. The gift shop was a bit lacking - mostly cheap souvenirs that you could buy anywhere. I don't recall any souvenirs with "Lost Canyon" on them. It is a beautiful place that everyone should see.

We went to Lost Canyon Tours knowing we would get history of the canyon, but it was so much more fun than we expected! The staff was extremely knowledgable, friendly and truly loved their job. Our driver, Chris, was a delight to have as a guide and the horse team, Bill & Barney worked well together. You would do well to take this tour and learn while enjoying the awesome sights.

We really enjoyed our carriage ride in this canyon. Very beautiful and reasonable priced with no wait. Our guide Barnaby was also funny and cracked jokes that the kids liked. Highly recommend.

The entire family went on this activity, parents, 13, 10, 9 and almost 3 year old. Nate was our tour guide and did an excellent job at keeping us engaged during the ride. The kids loved the tour and loved looking at the horses and the 3 year was OK with it as long as the wagon continued to move. The rock formations were very interesting to look at it. Plan on it taking up about an hour of time. We did not find any coupons in the books for this activity. Overall, a good break from the lines and traffic and of the Dells, and a nice relaxing break with the entire family, young and old. Simple entertainment without the electronics and scoreboards and waterslides. 4 stars out of 5 because : we don't need to come back to this attraction annually as you like to visit others every year if possible, the ticket taker didn't seem very appreciative and thankful as I handed over 50 dollars to pay for the attraction.

If you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown Dells, then this is it. A nice 30 min. horse drawn wagon ride thru the canyon in the Dells. Temps are a bit cooler since you are some 50 feet below ground level. Nate was our guide and was a hoot. The only disappointment was that some drunk at the Wilderness decided to scale the fence and ignore the No Tresspassing signs. 100 feet from the end of our tour we had to walk because all the people and lights spooked the horses. As we walked by, the drunken idiot on the ground just waved and said "I fell" as we walked buy. There were some little kids with us on the wagon and the parents had to shield their eyes so they didn't see all the blood from the drunks broken and bloody ankle.
