We were visiting friends in Cheyenne and they wanted us to go to the Wyoming Rib and Chop House for dinner - a group of seven. It was very busy but we had reservations and were seated right away. The food was good and the wine list and prices were very good, as was the service. Not a bad choice for a nice dinner out in Cheyenne but do have reservations.

The service is great. Love the atmosphere. Food is always good. The go to meal here is the Salmon on a plank.

Squash casserole was amazing. Steaks were almost to salty to eat as was the bbq shrimp and I am a salt person which was disappointing since the NY cut has real potential.

Ate here on Mother's Day. Arrived to find the wait was 90 minutes for a table, so my wife and I sat at the bar. Service was immediate and pleasant.

The menu is very broad, ranging from salads/appetizers, ribs, steaks, chicken, pasta, and a variety of fish dinners. (The day we were there, they had a fresh Lobster entrée). The have a large selection of beers on tap, many of the locally brewed.

We had their 10-oz "Famous Filet" and the "Fried Shrimp" entrees. The filet was finely cooked. The shrimp dish included eight very large shrimp that had an interesting batter, and it was also well prepared.

For drinks we had the Washington Lager -- a nice, light beer.

The prices are a bit high in my opinion, but not outrageous. Except for burgers and sandwiches, expect to spend $15-20 and up for an entrée.

The service was very good, and the dishes were delivered promptly. This experience could have been much worse considering that this was Mother's Day and the restaurant was jam packed with people. We could have had ill-prepared food and slow service, but we didn't. The restaurant staff handled the customer demand well, at least from where we were sitting. That's a good sign.
This was our first time here (we were from out of town) and we will return again.
