“Nice easy place to stop for a short visit”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

The dam is on a narrow part of the river through the gorge which makes it dramatic and worth a look and there is an excellent visitors centre. It's on the route to Yellowstone and a good stop off point.

“Great view”

This dam is on your way if you are going to Yellowstone. There is a very peace sensation. Take a ride to see inside to get a bit more information about the Dam.

“What a treat”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We spent an hour or two learning about the history of the Dam. Always interesting to hear the stories. They picked us up at our car and took us to the visitor center at the Dam, the museum was full of information and they had a very interesting film they showed of the history of the construction. Nice time

“Great stop out of town”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

This was a nice surprise. The dam area and dam itself is very nice. They have a small store, restrooms and a visitors center inside the dam building. The dam itself was impressive. The parking lot is long and there was a guy that came around on a golf cart to take you to the door. Very convenient! It was on a donation basis to support the dam area.

“Worth the drive to see the damn..”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

We drove out to see this damn that was once the largest damn in the U.S. Until someone decided to build that Hoover Damn, the lady told us at the visitor's center. It was worth the drive... beautiful surrounding scenery, a rock tunnell to drive thru and a nice pull off to get out and look around the damn. If in the area take the time to travel out and spend some time here.
