Besides the friendly staff, clean rooms full of amenities, and on-site restaurant and bar, this HI offered a big self serve bike wash, including rags and towels! Nice to leave the Montana bugs in Montana.

We had a two night stay and from start to finish we had an exceptional stay. I had called to confirm our reservation and to request a first floor recently updated room and the lady was very happy to assign us the requested room. Check in was very fast and pleasant with all amenities explained as well as lay out of hotel etc... We were given our requested room and it was very nicely renovated and spotless with micro/fridge, flat screen TV, quality supportive mattress, very nice bathroom amenites to include make up removers, mouthwash and sewing kit ... they went all out on these items! The manager had called the room to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed and wished us a good stay. The window faced the pool and opened to let in the fresh WY air. Pool was covered at night and was nice and warm the next morning for a swim. All staff we encountered always smiled and seemed genuinely interested that you were having a good stay. We had accidently left a bag in the room with important items such as eyglasses, medications etc... and before we had noticed we had left it we had received a call from houskeeping that they had it and it was secured. Since we had already traveled to far to turn back they happily shipped to our home address and it was received within 4 days. Can't thank the staff enough for going above and beyond in so many different ways. It is rare in this day to come across such and outstanding caliber of individuals all working in one place. We thank you and this staff is the best of the best!

A little pricy but it is a tourist town. Lobby is updated. Rooms and hallways look old. All was clean except the restaurant. Go enjoy main street and avoid the restaurant. No refrigerators in the rooms. Keurig coffee makers in the room. The lounge stayed open past it's closing time to serve people

Dear Aaron D ,

Thank you very much for your recent review of our property. Our hotel is very proud of its level of service, cleanliness and quality of its product and we strive to provide competitive rates within the area. I'm deeply sorry that we fell below your expectations with regards to our restaurant. I am also sorry to hear that you were not able to get into one of our updated rooms. The renovation should be complete by next spring. We hope that after that time, you will choose to stay with us again should your travels bring you back to Cody.

Sincerely,

Jessica Rick on behalf of James Blair, General Manager

Guess if you buy from Priceline even for 142.00 room... Not cheap...you get left over banged up rooms. Our room didn't look like pictures on trip advisor..no elevator to second floor. Scratched up walls. Location good.but in a small town you could say that about any place. Mattress old and uneven. Not empresses. Employees must be writing reviews.

Room Tip: Lower level so u don't have to carry heavy bags up tall stairs.

We stayed over one night at this hotel as part of a Globus bus tour from Rapid City to Las Vegas over the course of 13 nights. As the eastern gateway to Yellowstone Park, Cody was an ideal town to spend the night. The hotel is located at the end of the main street of town, with many of the better restaurants located several blocks down toward the other end of town. The hotel is something of a sprawling complex with multiple long corridors on two levels (and no elevator). It was certainly large enough to accommodate 3-4 tourbus-loads of visitors, plus individual customers. Our room was located fairly close to the front of the complex on the first level, and it was absolutely fine, although not fancy, containing most of the amenities one looks for in a hotel. There is a modest-size restaurant on-site, and an interesting gift shop adjacent to the front of the hotel. Here after 5 p.m. snacks and cold drinks (non-alcoholic) are served. The service is very friendly and helpful despite having to deal with so many guests each night. The outdoor pool is located in an interior courtyard, and we spent a pleasant hour sitting there after dinner with some of our fellow group members. We ended up eating in the hotel's restaurant, which is also open to the public (and which I'll review separately). The restaurant is also the location for the breakfast buffet, and here I thought the breakfast was a bit above average -- the highlight being the waffles.
